Quidditch round-up: Kansas wins Midwest Cup; Philadelphia Brotherly Love Cup and Muggle Quidditch returns home this weekend
Our weekly MuggleNet SnitchCenter round-up starts off with last weekend’s Midwest Cup Tournament held in Fishers, Indiana, with 18 teams competing for the crown.
In the semi-finals, the University of Pittsburgh defeated Illinois State University 90-40, even though ISU caught the snitch to end the game. Meanwhile, University of Kansas and Michigan State University were tied at 70, when Kansas seeker, sophmore Aaron Pope, caught the snitch earning KU the 100-70 victory.
This led to a final showdown between the University of Kansas and the University of Pittsburgh. Pitt jumped out to a 50-10 lead and looked as though it would be a runaway game, but KU came storming back and won the final match 70-50 to win the Midwest Cup Championship. Congratulations, Jayhawks!
