Alan Rickman ending his run in Broadway show “SEMINAR” soon
According to a new article on Broadway World, Alan Rickman – the actor who brilliantly portrayed double agent Professor Snape in the Harry Potter series – will be completing his last performance in the hit Broadway show SEMINAR on Sunday, April 1. The show will continue with Actor Jeff Goldblum [Jurassic Park] for 8 weeks only beginning on April 3.
SEMINAR has been getting brilliant reviews since it opened on November 20th at The Golden Theatre on West 45th Street in Manhattan, New York. MuggleNet staffer Laura wrote her review of the play when it first opened, which you can read right here.
Alan Rickman plays the role of an international literary figure who gives a private lesson to four aspiring young novelists. Leonard’s [Rickman] teaching is very unothodox, which will allow some students to excel and others to flounder. The show itself has been described as “The funniest show on Broadway” [WOR Radio], “A wonderful new comedy” [Associated Press] and a “Must-see” [Time Out].
One thing is certain, if you are planning a visit to New York City on or before April 1, this is one show you do not want to miss, if you would like the chance to see Alan Rickman in person.
