Rumors of Wizarding World Expansion at Universal Studios Orlando All But Confirmed With New Images
Can Warner Bros. continue their trend of keeping the rumored expansion of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort under lock and key? The answer is yes! But as the recent photos discovered by our friends at Hypable show, those rumors are all but confirmed at this point.
The rumors are that the old area of Amity Island and the Jaws ride inside the Universal Studios park are currently being transformed into a magnificent expansion of the Wizarding World with a Diagon Alley (complete with new shops), a Leaky Cauldron restaurant, and the most highly anticipated Gringott’s Bank complete with a brilliant cart ride similar to that taken by the trio and Griphook in the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 film.
Although we have shared photos previously of what we believe to be the Gringott’s cart ride tracks being installed as well as the recent report of filming by Helena Bonham Carter and Rupert Grint, sources from Hypable have now shared the following images that provide the first solid evidence of Gringotts Bank construction:

We have also previously shared information on the Hogwarts Express Ride that will take patrons on a journey to and from the Islands of Adventure area that currently houses Hogwarts and Hogsmeade and the new expansion area. But bottom line, we are definitely excited to see the final product and can currently expect the opening of the expansion area to occur sometime in 2014.
What is your opinion: Should Warner Bros. come clean with all of the details of the “rumored” expansion inside Universal Studios Orlando? Or should they keep us all on the edge of our seats for the time being? Let us know your opinion in the comments below.
Thanks to our friends at Hypable for the tip!
