Release date Announced for “Frankenstein”, Starring Daniel Radcliffe
The film that Daniel Radcliffe described as having “far and away the best script I’ve read coming out of a big studio” appears to now have a release date.
20th Century Fox’s take on Frankenstein, to be directed by BBC Sherlock director Paul McGuigan, will be released in US theaters on October 17, 2014. The film, which has been adapted from Mary Shelley’s renowned novel by Max Landis, is to star Daniel Radcliffe as Igor “The Hunchback”, a character who has been intriguingly described as “pathologically dirty and dressed in old clown’s clothing.” Casting for the remaining roles is still ongoing although with the release date agreed for just over a year’s time, it can’t be long before names are announced and filming begins.
