“The Cuckoo’s Calling” to get a 300,000 copy reprint

Since the huge discovery of J.K. Rowling’s secret new crime novel, The Cuckoo’s Calling, it has become increasingly difficult to find copies. Barnes&Noble.com as well as Amazon.com have sold out, and with Potter fans rushing out to stores to get their hands on a copy, bookstores are also running very low.

However, those who have not been able to buy the novel yet will be able to soon enough. The Wall Street Journal reported that Mulholland Books are coming up with 300,000 hardcover copies of the novel. The only difference between the soon-to-be released copies is that they will include J.K. Rowling’s name in the author bio, indicating that Robert Galbraith is only a pseudonym.

No comments have been made on the number of hardcover editions currently in print, but the number of books sold before the revelation was somewhere between 500 and 1,500 copies. Sales have predictably spiked since J.K. Rowling was revealed to be the true author of the novel.
