First photo from Diagon Alley theme park released!

Blogger Robert Niles at ThemeParkInsider has released a first look at one of the set pieces inside the upcoming Diagon Alley theme park in Universal Studios Florida: a wall of buildings. And while shop names and decorations are not on the buildings, there also isn’t scaffolding to hide the unique slants and shapes, window boxes, and would-be doors embedded in the architecture that make the location so recognizable.

From his post:

Though this is an outdoor shot, much of the new land will be under cover, including most of Knockturn Alley. The experience will be both intricate and intimate – I’m certain that crowds will jam every inch of space in the new land when it opens. Diagon Alley was not some broad Paris boulevard, after all. It’s a cramped London back alleyway, and Universal’s version will reflect that.

But it will be one wildly entertaining alleyway, themed and decorated to a level of detail not otherwise found in American theme parks. I’m getting more and more excited for this new land, from the photos I’ve seen. So I’m happy to be able to share one of those photos with you.

In addition to this new image, MiceChat posted a picture last month of what appears to be a blue Ford Anglia on a trailer behind Universal Creative, which you can see below. Granted, this is a rumor only, but we hope this awesome photo means the Anglia will figure into the new Wizarding World theme park in Orlando.

Are YOU excited by these images? Will you be visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Diagon Alley when it opens next year? Leave us your thoughts in the comments.
