Glory Days of the Marauders
to the tune of “Glory Days” by Bruce Springsteen
I had a friend was a big Quidditch player
Back in our school
He could throw that Quaffle by ya
Fell in love like a fool boy
Saw his son the other night had a couple words
Looks just like his dad, acts just like his mum
We talked a little about trivial things
But all I kept thinking about was
CHORUS:
Glory days well they’ll pass you by
Glory days in the blink of a big dog’s eye
Glory days, glory days
Well my buddy comes around sometimes
Back in school, he was the top of the class
Trying to keep me outta trouble
But all I cared about was having the last laugh
Now he can’t get a job cause people are dumb
He tries to make ends meet and can’t
We just sit around talking about the old times
He says when he feels like crying
He starts laughing thinking about
CHORUS
Me and my buddies are nearly dead and gone
The dream has finally ended it’s all done
I never thought when I got old I would sit around thinking about them
But it was all my fun
Yeah, if I told Harry I don’t think he’d realize
How quickly it all passes by, cause time slips away
And leaves you with nothing mister but
Crazy stories of glory days
CHORUS x2
