“The Cripple of Inishmaan” lands several nominations for the 2014 Tony Awards
The Cripple of Inishmaan, which stars Daniel Radcliffe, has picked up several nominations for the 2014 Tony Awards. It’s nominations include Best Revival of a Play, Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role (Sarah Greene), Best Direction of a Play (Michael Grandage), Best Scenic Design (Christopher Oram), Best Lighting Design (Paule Constable), and Best Sound Design (Alex Baranowski). Stephen Fry was also nominated for his featured role in the Shakespeare production of Twelfth Night.
Sadly, despite winning rave reviews for his performance of Irish orphan Billy Claven, Radcliffe himself failed to pick up a nomination for Best Actor. For a full list of nominees click here. The Tony Awards will take place on June 8.
