Recipe of the Week: Leek-y Cauldron Soup
Recently, MuggleNet received this delicious-sounding new recipe for our “Rosmerta’s Recipes” section. It came to us from Alison, of Alison’s Wonderland Recipes. Her Leek-y Cauldron Soup makes for a filling starter course perfect for fueling you up during a Harry Potter movie marathon. Plus, it’s got a really great name. According to Alison, she was inspired by “the Leaky Cauldron, one of Harry’s frequent Diagon Alley haunts” and says that “this hearty take on classic leek soup warms me right down to my soul. The bacon, potatoes, and leeks all come together to make the ultimate comfort food, but the bun bowls are what really set this dish apart.”
Given the soup’s generous use of bacon, cheese, and butter, you just know it’s going to be a great dish. This would certainly hit the spot when one needs to warm up. Plus, the use of individual pretzel bowls makes it ideal for occasions with large gatherings when one might not have enough serving ware. Thanks for the recipe, Alison!
