In a press release issued today from Comic-Con International: San Diego, it was announced that Daniel Radcliffe will make his very first Comic-Con appearance to promote Horns.
Horns was shot in Vancouver in 2012 but hasn’t made it to US general audiences as of yet. The dark comedy finds Dan’s character Ignatius “Ig” Perrish waking up after a night of drinking only to discover that he has sprouted horns that can put people into a trance and make them “voice their most unspeakable thoughts.” Ig has to deal with his new powers while trying to clear himself of the murder of his girlfriend, played by Juno Temple.
The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year. No word yet on if or when there will be a specific panel for the film at SDCC, but the press release announced that Dan will be joined by Horns novelist Joe Hill and the film’s director Alexandre Aja. The film is expected to be released in the UK on October 31, 2014, and the US rights to the film were acquired last year by Dimension and Radius-TWC.
