Tom Felton lands new role in “Clavius”
Our favorite bad boy Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) will be a leading star in a new Biblical thriller set to be released in 2015, called Clavius. It is unknown which role Tom will be playing, but filming begins this month in Malta and Spain. He’ll also be starring alongside Joseph Fiennes, brother of Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort), who will be playing Clavius.
Clavius is the story of an agnostic Roman centurion assigned the task of investigating rumors of a resurrected Messiah and to bring back the body of Jesus of Nazareth to prevent a rebellion in Jerusalem. On the centurion’s mission, he stumbles upon the Apostles, historical characters, and unexplainable events that make him question his skepticism as he searches for Jesus Christ.
After seeing Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) star brilliantly in the retelling of Noah, I think it’s safe to say we’re all excited to see what Tom can bring to the Biblical side of Hollywood. If you recall, he has already tackled a religious role in the CW miniseries Labyrinth, which also starred John Hurt (Garrick Ollivander).
How do you think Tom will do in this movie compared to his other roles? Let us know in the comments below.
