UPDATED: Video: David Heyman talks “Fantastic Beasts” and film splits
Only earlier this week, producer David Heyman spoke about the upcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them film, revealing that J.K. Rowling had finished the script. This week, David has been busy promoting his new film, Paddington, which comes out this Friday.
In a new video, David spoke some more about the upcoming Fantastic Beasts film and when they will start casting. He also spoke about the decision to split the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book into two films, something that is now done in many young adult franchises.

Hopefully, we’ll start getting some more information about the film when they start casting next year.
Jo has also been teasing fans this week again – make sure you take a look at her new Twitter header photo, and see what you think it means.
UPDATE:
Another video of David talking about the film has been posted by IGN UK. In the video, which you can watch below, David talks about the script, and says,
Jo Rowling has written a script that’s sublime. It’s funny, it’s vivid, it’s exciting. It’s filled with all the hallmarks of her incredible imagination.
He further comments on why Jo has never scripted a Harry Potter feature before:
She wrote the books on those so she probably didn’t feel the need. With this there was a slim volume which is more like an Encycolpedia than it is anything else… so she decided to write the script and she’s done a brilliant job.
Are all these tantalizing hints making you even more excited for Fantastic Beasts? Are you looking forward to seeing Paddington? Let us know in the comments!
