“The Grand Budapest Hotel”, “The Theory of Everything” pick up Golden Globes
The Golden Globe Awards took place yesterday, and several films and TV shows involving Potter stars picked up awards. In case you missed it, we previously wrote about who was nominated here. The awards, which took place in LA, were hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
The Grand Budapest Hotel, which stars Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort) and is nominated for 11 BAFTAs, picked up the award for Best Motion Picture, Musical, or Comedy.
The Theory of Everything, starring David Thewlis (Remus Lupin), picked up two awards: Eddie Radmayne, for his role as Stephen Hawking, won Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama, and composer Jóhann Jóhansson won Best Original Score, Motion Picture.
Joanne Froggatt, who portrays Anna Bates in Downton Abbey, which stars Dame Maggie Smith (Minerva McGonagall), won the award for Best Supporting Actress in Series, Mini-Series, or TV Movie.
