Rupert Grint’s “Moonwalkers” to premiere at SXSW!
In June of last year, we reported on the confirmation that Rupert Grint would star in Moonwalkers. The film is set in 1969 and follows a CIA agent who attempts to meet famed director Stanley Kubrick in order to have him film a fake moon landing, only to meet up with Rupert’s character, Jonny, the manager of a hippie rock band.
The film was just announced as part of this year’s SXSW lineup, according to the festival’s website! Three showings will take place this March, with the world premiere at the festival on Saturday, March 14. You can learn more about the premiere here.
The site also published a new still from the production, which you can see below, and we’ve included a few other stills of Rupert on set that have slowly been popping up online.
Only a few months after Rupert was confirmed to star as Jonny, he gave an interview with a Dutch blog while filming Moonwalkers. He talks about how he overcame shyness by diving into characters during school plays, which led to Harry Potter. Take a look at the interview here!
