Is the “Fantastic Beasts” set under construction at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden?
UPDATE: Unfortunately, WB has confirmed that this is not part of the Fantastic Beasts set.
If you’ve visited the Warner Bros. Studio Tour lately, you might have noticed some construction taking place. Based on what we know of the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them film trilogy, it seems likely that the project could be part of the Fantastic Beasts set!
An article published by the Daily Mail shows what appears to be the structure of a castle being built on the grounds of Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in Hertfordshire:
With the release date for the first film of the Fantastic Beasts trilogy currently set for 2016, it is safe to assume that we will be finding out more about the film’s production in the coming months.
On the castle, the Daily Mail writes,
Construction is still three months from completion, and filming is due to begin in the summer on the first of three movies in a new Fantastic Beasts series.
Plenty of other movies are filmed at the studio, so it is possible that the castle is not related to Fantastic Beasts at all. If it is part of the Fantastic Beasts set, filming could begin around late June or early July. With no news on casting yet either, it looks as though only time will tell!
