US Quidditch World Cup to be held April 11-12 in Rock Hill, South Carolina!
With the Quidditch Regional Championships over, it’s time for Quidditch fans to prepare themselves for the main event: the Quidditch World Cup! US Quidditch World Cup 8 is going to be held in Rock Hill, South Carolina, on April 11-12.
From the official US Quidditch website:
World Cup is USQ’s premiere event of the season. Featuring 80 teams from across the league, this is the pinnacle of the competitive season and the largest spectator event of the season. Teams qualify through regionals and have the opportunity to compete at the World Cup to be crowned the World Champions.
Quidditch isn’t just a sport for witches and wizards, as evidenced by its growing popularity around the world. The teams competing at this year’s US Quidditch World Cup hail from both the United States and Canada. For those who cannot attend the World Cup in person, US Quidditch has announced that the event will be streamed live.
