Queenie, Tina, and Jacob: “Fantastic Beasts” Casting Rumors!

We have been hearing for months now that Eddie Redmayne is the front runner for Newt Scamander, magizoologist and the main character of the upcoming film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them – but now we have our first glance at the supporting cast!

TheWrap.com reports that Saoirse Ronan (The Lovely Bones), Dakota Fanning (I Am Sam, War of the Worlds), Lili Simmons (Geek Charming), and Alison Sudol (Dan in Real Life) are rumored to be up for consideration for the role of Tina, Newt’s female counterpart, with scheduled test reads opposite Eddie looming in the near future. The part of Queenie, Tina’s younger sister, is rumored to have Kate Upton (model, The Other Woman), Katherine Waterston (Inherent Vice), and Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby) attached as well.

Do we have our villain? It looks like actors Steve Zissis (Her), Zack Pearlman (Dreamworks’s Dragons), and Dan Fogler (Kung Fu Panda) are up for the role of Jacob, Newt’s rival.
