CONFIRMED: Has the Title of the “Harry Potter” Stage Play Been Revealed?!
It’s been over a year and a half since J.K. Rowling confirmed that there would be a Harry Potter stage play, and it looks like there just might finally be some news about what the play will be called – and what it will entail.
According to the Daily Mail, the play will be called Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and will cover the experiences of Lily and James Potter before they were killed by Lord Voldemort. If true, this differs somewhat from the previous information we had about the play, which said that the show was going to be about Harry’s early years, presumably with the Dursleys. Of course, it is entirely possible that the play could do both!
Reportedly, the play will open in the summer of 2016, and tickets will go on sale this autumn. What’s more, the Daily Mail is reporting that casting has already begun! The show, set to open at London’s Palace Theater, was created by J.K. Rowling and director John Tiffany and written by Jack Thorne.
This story has yet to be confirmed. In March, Rowling said that she did not yet have a title for the play. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more!

they will agree that it was the only proper medium for the story. #CursedChild
