“Fantastic Beasts” Open Casting Call: Break a Leg!

As soon as we were able to report that Warner Bros. would be holding an open casting call for a role in the upcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, we at MuggleNet got really excited. (Evanna Lynch discovered the open casting call for the role of Luna Lovegood right here on MuggleNet, after all!) Now, the day has come, and we’re seeing plenty of posts on social media that are coming straight from ExCeL London!

Let’s start by saying that the queue just to audition is long:

Nevertheless, there is plenty of excitement in the queue, too:

It’s too early to know an exact figure, but there are estimates that 10,000 or 25,000 girls are present. Knowing that one of them will be cast as Modesty is pretty mind-blowing.

A few members of the Harry Potter cast also took to Twitter to wish luck to those auditioning:

Even J.K. Rowling herself is wishing those who audition well:

And remember, there is a light at the end of the tunnel:

You can also check out a video of some of the action over at CBBC Newsround or watch a video from the Daily Mail below:

If you’re attending the casting, break a leg (figuratively, of course)! Oh, and don’t forget to have fun!
