“Cursed Child” Priority Tickets Go on Sale Tomorrow: Are You Ready?
The past week or so has been a flurry of information about Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the new stage play that has been tag lined the “Eighth Story.” A few days ago, we gave you updates on what we knew about the play, and despite some fans’ concerns about the way this story will be told, many are eagerly awaiting tickets.
Today, priority registration has closed, and those who created accounts are eagerly waiting for tomorrow morning, when tickets will go on sale at 11 a.m. GMT online only. Tomorrow morning, those who created priority accounts with either of the two ticket companies will receive an email at 10:45 a.m. GMT, giving them further instructions for how to buy tickets. Preview shows will run from June 7 to July 29, and tickets for these shows will be sold at reduced prices. The show will officially have its premiere on July 30. According to the website, if you purchase a ticket for Part 1, you will automatically have a ticket booked for the next performance of Part 2. There are also days that feature both parts of the play on the same day.
Didn’t sign up for priority tickets? You can still purchase them starting on October 30 at 11 a.m. GMT. There will also be special preview shows in May, the dates of which will be announced later. In addition, a lottery system has been announced, both weekly and daily, for the show once it opens. More information on that system has been promised for later.
