A Celebration of Harry Potter Day 1 Highlights!

Wow, it’s already been a busy weekend at the Harry Potter celebration in Orlando, and we’re only a day into the event! Here are some of the highlights from the first day.

Rupert Grint, Evanna Lynch, Bonnie Wright, and Matthew Lewis answered fan questions in a Q&A session.

In the Expo Room, there were plenty of displays, from Scholastic to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour, including Scholastic’s Muggle Wall, where fans could write messages about their love for Harry Potter, and a wand making demonstration from the Studio Tour!

Pottermore made some announcements about wizarding schools and had a giant map displayed, which showed locations of wizarding schools across the world. The name of the North American wizarding school (where US witches and wizards would go to learn magic!) was also announced – Ilvermorny!

MinaLima also had some of their graphic design work on view for fans – and an impressive display of Harry’s Hogwarts letters!

The Noble Collection debuted its beautiful Hogwarts House charm bracelets – 15% of the proceeds from these lovely pieces benefit Lumos!

Of course, there were also just a couple of teasers for two of the most exciting upcoming events in the Harry Potter fandom – Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
