Don’t Be a Muggle! Prepare Like a Wizard for the “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” Premiere!
It’s finally here! The time has come to prepare for the premiere of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Here are some top tips to help get you ready if you’re planning on waiting for the stars at the premieres!
Tip 1: Plan!
Get excited and find out every little thing you can about the film! Some of the best Potter conversations you can have is when you’re at a Potter event. Everyone around you loves it, but they also have their own views and opinions. Get talking, share your ideas and thoughts, and make the most of being part of this amazing experience!
Tip 2: Dress for the occasion
Be ready with your House colors, cosplay, and fantastic (pun intended) costumes! It’s never too early to start preparing, why don’t you look at our Halloween-inspired costumes for inspiration. But on a serious note, it’s going to be cold, and in the UK, it will probably rain, so be prepared. Bring coats, gloves, scarves, hats, blankets, plastic bags to put over your shoes… you get the idea, right?
Tip 3: Supplies
One of the best ways to make friends is through food! So take inspiration from Scorpius and Harry! Fill your pockets with all manner of edible goods and make some friends. I always had a dream that I would go to boarding school and have midnight feasts every night. Maybe this is a British thing, but food always tastes better at silly o’clock with a group of friends. Don’t forget you’re going to need fluids, too, so stock up on drinks and find somewhere nearby to get hot drinks as well. A nice pint of butterbeer would go down well!
Tip 4: Be Sensible
After talking to my MuggleNet colleagues, it seems that the original premieres are now legendary. Okay, so we know camping out in front of the theater is a rite of passage for most Potter fans, but you also need to be safe about it. Cue worried mom in the style of Molly Weasley, please humor me! Make sure you tell someone where you’re going to be and check in with them regularly. Not all parents have a clock to make sure that you are safe and well, so use a Muggle cell phone instead. Take a flashlight, a sleeping bag, clothing layers, and food, and be sensible. Try to get a group of you together to enjoy the fun!
Tip 5: ENJOY!
The magic of Potter never truly left. Now is the time for everyone to enjoy a new era of JKR and the wizarding world. Make the most of it! MuggleNet staff are officially at the New York City premiere, so come say hi.
