Quidditch season may have just ended, but US Quidditch isn’t taking a break! The location finalists for the major events of the season have been announced.
The bidding process for the location of US Quidditch Cup 11 – as well as the regional championships leading up to it – began back in December. 25 bids were received for the nine major events in the 2017-2018 quidditch season. US Quidditch will be performing site visits with the finalists over the next few months, with official event dates and locations announced in late June. The events and the finalists are listed below:
US Quidditch Cup 11
- Lubbock, Texas, at Berl Huffman Athletic Complex
- Round Rock, Texas, at Round Rock Multipurpose Complex
The most recent US Quidditch Cup was hosted in Kissimmee, Florida. Neither of these Texas locations has hosted for US Quidditch before, so either one would be a new location for the tournament.
