And former Harry Potter actor David Tennant (Barty Crouch, Jr.) won Best Actor in a Play for his role in Don Juan in Soho. His award was accepted by his son Ty Tennant.

The WhatsOnStage Awards are the only major UK theater awards that are voted on by audiences. Clearly, British theatergoers are still loving Harry Potter and the Cursed Child!

Of course, the production will soon be opening in the US on Broadway. Click here to read what J.K Rowling, playwright Jack Thorne, and director John Tiffany had to say recently about the big move.
