“Lethal White” to Be Released This Year!
Yesterday morning, our beloved author, J.K. Rowling, tweeted that her dear friend and alter ego, Robert Galbraith, would be releasing the long-awaited fourth Cormoran Strike novel, Lethal White.
This news falls upon eager ears since the release of Career of Evil – the third novel in the Cormoran Strike series – was almost three years ago. Some of us Harry Potter/Cormoran Strike fans have been feeling a little (dreaded) déjà vu from those long, dry years between Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Last March, Rowling tweeted that she had finished Lethal White – almost a year after she teased the title of the novel in a Twitter guessing game. The novel has been in editing for the last month, a “post-production” of sorts in Rowling’s writing process for the book, and will be finalized and released later this year.
Thank you! I’m editing #LethalWhite (Strike no. 4) right now and it’ll be out later in the year. https://t.co/YsXu9DZMTF

“Later in the year” will logically fall in autumn. Career of Evil was released in October; we can expect a similar release for Lethal White. In the meantime, the Strike TV series based on the first three novels will be released in the United States this summer (renamed CB Strike).
Since it has been so long since the series left off, let the rereading and binge-watching of the Cormoran Strike series begin! Any speculations about Robin and Strike and Robin’s marriage? Better yet, after all this time, do you hope Lethal White will be as long as Order of the Phoenix? (Don’t we deserve 150 pages for every excruciating year of waiting?)
