An Outdoor Movie Experience Like No Other
The Itison Drive-In Movies in Glencoe, Scotland, is hosting a magical drive-in movie experience. At Glencoe Mountain Resort, fans can experience all eight of the Harry Potter movies like never before against a backdrop of mountainous scenery that was used as a filming location for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in 2003. The location was home to Hagrid’s hut, as well as the incredible and iconic scene in which Hermione punches Malfoy.
Guests can get whisked up to the top of the mountain by chairlift for just £3 for kids and £6 for adults to the huge state-of-the-art outdoor movie screen. During the daytime showings, there will be plenty of opportunities to wander around and take pictures of the beautiful scenery, and for those more daring, there will also be tubing for an additional fee. The nighttime screenings will feature firepits for marshmallow toasting. During the event, Muggle treats, including burgers, nachos, chips, woodfired pizza, and other sweets, as well as wizard treats and magical potion beverages will be available for purchase.
Screenings of all eight movies will occur over the course of three days starting Friday, August 3. Viewing times will be at 11:00 a.m., 4:30 p.m., and 9:30 p.m. each day (for the full film schedule, see below). Tickets to the movie of your choice are £30.00 each. Be sure to get them soon because some of the showtimes have already sold out!
The event is a great opportunity to take a road trip out to Glencoe and make a day of viewing other famous locations like the viaduct at Glenfinnan, Fort William, Tyndrum, Stirling, and the gorgeous Highlands. You can get more information and buy your tickets here.

Dine with Dangerous Wizard Criminals in New York City
If you ever wanted to know what brunch was like for the Azkaban prisoners, now is your chance! Just kidding – they most certainly didn’t have brunch, but don’t worry because you still can! Joshua Walker PR is hosting a series of interactive brunches in New York where attendees can find themselves behind the bars of Aethon, a prison for wizard criminals who have been imprisoned for life after performing Unforgivable Curses.
Guests are encouraged to dress in their best wizard robes and will be given a character to play. As it turns out, the guards at the prison may not be as watchful as they seem. Once prisoners have escaped the guard’s not-so-watchful eye, they can celebrate in the dining hall with a two-course brunch and an endless supply of Gigglewater (or prosecco for Muggles) and sodas.
The dining hall will be featuring a menu far better than what you would expect in a regular prison. Options for guests include burgers, pear salad, chicken or shrimp penne à la vodka, Belgian waffle and chicken tenders, and chicken, steak, shrimp, or mushroom tacos. Desserts will include cake and ice cream.
The Wizard’s Prison Brunch will take place at a secret location in Manhattan on August 4 at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. There may also be additional events in the future. Tickets cost $45 for the immersive event, food, and beverages. The event is for only those 21 and older. Find out more here and check out the full menu below.
