Release Date Announced for Latest “Cormoran Strike” Novel, “Lethal White”!

UPDATE 7/12/18:

The US publisher of Lethal White was quick to follow Galbraith’s announcement with a confirmation that the book would also be released in the US on September 18.

Though the cover has some small differences from the UK version, it is almost identical, missing the sweeping cursive font that has thus far characterized the US covers for the Strike novels. Now that the series is gaining in popularity, it makes sense for the two versions to become more similar, but fans who like consistency on their bookshelves may be disappointed!

You can pre-order the US version here and the UK version here.

Original Article:

We already knew that the next Cormoran Strike novel, Lethal White, would be released in 2018, but today we learned that the release date is only weeks away!

In an announcement this morning, the social media profiles for J.K. Rowling’s alter ego, Robert Galbraith, revealed that Lethal White will be released on September 18!

The announcement doubled as a cover reveal for the novel’s UK version. We don’t yet have any official information about the book’s US edition, though if the earlier Cormoran Strike books are anything to go by, the cover will be very similar.

Here’s the official synopsis for Lethal White:

When Billy, a troubled young man, comes to private eye Cormoran Strike’s office to ask for his help investigating a crime he thinks he witnessed as a child, Strike is left deeply unsettled. While Billy is obviously mentally distressed, and cannot remember many concrete details, there is something sincere about him and his story. But before Strike can question him further, Billy bolts from his office in a panic.

Trying to get to the bottom of Billy’s story, Strike and Robin Ellacott – once his assistant, now a partner in the agency – set off on a twisting trail that leads them through the backstreets of London, into a secretive inner sanctum within Parliament, and to a beautiful but sinister manor house deep in the countryside.

And during this labyrinthine investigation, Strike’s own life is far from straightforward: his newfound fame as a private eye means he can no longer operate behind the scenes as he once did. Plus, his relationship with his former assistant is more fraught than it ever has been – Robin is now invaluable to Strike in the business, but their personal relationship is much, much more tricky than that.

You can already preorder Lethal White from Waterstones, which is also offering the chance for readers to win a signed copy of the book. You can order your copy and enter the contest right here.
