“Crimes of Grindelwald” Is the Most Anticipated Movie of the Fall!
It goes without saying that, among Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts fans, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is the movie no one can wait to see. As it turns out, we aren’t the only ones.
In a poll of 1,000 moviegoers, Fandango found that Crimes of Grindelwald topped the list of most anticipated movies of the fall. The films included in the poll will be released between September 7 and Thanksgiving weekend.
The Fantastic Beasts sequel came out on top in not one but two separate polls. Crimes of Grindelwald was voted both Fall’s Most Anticipated Family Movie (ahead of Ralph Breaks the Internet, Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch, The House with a Clock in Its Walls, and The Nutcracker and the Four Realms) and Fall’s Most Anticipated Movie (ahead of Bohemian Rhapsody, Venom, Ralph Breaks the Internet, and A Star Is Born). Eddie Redmayne also had a strong individual showing, coming in at No. 3 on the list of Fall’s Most Anticipated Actors, behind Bohemian Rhapsody‘s Rami Malek and Venom‘s Tom Hardy but ahead of A Star Is Born‘s Bradley Cooper and Creed II‘s Michael B. Jordan.
The Crimes of Grindelwald excitement is hardly surprising, considering the historic successes of the Harry Potter films and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 alone had the biggest opening weekend ever – but it’s good to see evidence that the magic is still alive for Muggles everywhere.
