New “Crimes of Grindelwald” Still Suggests Scamander Brothers Will Team Up
Not only will Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald showcase the magical world of Paris, France, for the first time, but the upcoming release will also feature brand-new characters. Of particular interest is Theseus Scamander (Callum Turner), the older brother of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). Theseus is a well-known war hero and Head of the Auror Office at the Ministry of Magic, but he seems to share a tense relationship with his brother.
In the latest insight into the film, both brothers are pictured together lurking around a murky corner, ready for action. With Dumbledore (Jude Law) sending Newt off on a mysterious mission it certainly seems possible that Theseus may be joining Newt for the ride.
However, this show of cooperation conflicts with another shot, which shows the two in direct conflict. Intriguingly, standing in between the two brothers is Leta Lestrange (Zoë Kravitz), Theseus’s fiancée, with whom Newt shares a deep and mysterious connection. With the curious issue of Leta hanging over the two brothers, it seems that conflict between the two may be inevitable, even if they are working on the same team.
