Time to Say “Bye”? Off-Broadway’s “Puffs” Sets Closing Date
Puffs, or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic is a MuggleNet favorite, and today we learned some sad news about the New York City production. The play, which has been at New World Stages since 2017 (and other venues in the city before that), will close on Sunday, August 18.
Sydney, Australia’s Puffs is set to close on June 30, which means we will lose two productions this summer, but the show will be performed for one July weekend in Baltimore.
The timing of this announcement coincides with the news that Broadway’s The Prom will also close in August, just a few days before Puffs. The Prom is full of Puff spirit, so now might be the right time to take a trip to NYC and catch a few shows.
Don’t miss out on your chance to see Puffs live! You can get tickets here. If you know you won’t be able to make it before the closing date, you can still purchase the digital version of the show, which was recorded in 2018 and aired in movie theaters before being released digitally.
Puffs will not be forgotten, and we can only hope that this means new live productions will begin to pop up around the world!
