Favorite Bands: Yellowcard, The Starting Line, Linkin Park, The Academy Is..., Panic! At the Disco, Taking Back Sunday, Something Corporate, Green Day, and Fall Out Boy

Favorite T.V. Shows: The Simpsons, Family Guy, West Wing, Daily Show
Favorite Food: McDonalds' Sausage McMuffin w/Egg and I am a cereal addict
A Little About Me: MuggleNet was born a month after I began homeschooling as a 12-year-old in the fall of 1999. I had too much time on my hands and I thought it would be fun to make a website. I had no idea what I was getting in to.

Leaving aside the details of my abnormal obsession with the boy wizard, I love to read and I have played every sport competitively at some point in my life; notably, paintball, golf, tennis, basketball and baseball. I have wonderful, supportive parents and two brothers - a 17-year-old (scroll down this page) and a 7-year-old that I absolutely adore. I'm now a sophomore at the University of Notre Dame and I bleed blue and gold! I also enjoy losing to Ben in ping pong, and a nice pair of slacks.

By the way, if you email me and don't get a response back, please don't take it personally. My typing monkeys have been threatening to strike, and my inbox is a disaster area.

About Me: As MuggleNet's resident "tech guy," I keep its many servers running in the background. Having started with the series just after Goblet of Fire was released (it's still my favorite), it's saddening to think the series is winding down. However, it's been a great time and an asset to me. I've learned much during my years at MuggleNet, and hope to continue doing so as time goes on.

A Little About Me: I got my job here at MuggleNet back in January 2003 and have enjoyed every minute of it! I suppose you could say I was a fan of the Harry Potter books from the start; my teacher read us the first book and the rest, as they say, is history. (I could have launched into a carefully concocted monologue about how my love for the books has grown, but let's face it.. if I didn't love them I wouldn't be working here now, would I?) Aside from being a regular on MuggleNet's weekly radio show, MuggleCast, I do a variety of jobs around the site and also spend time travelling the UK to various Harry Potter related events to cover them for the site. Aside from Harry Potter, I enjoy playing badminton and table-tennis, reading classical literature, writing and going to the theatre. I'm currently a sophomore at the University of Durham studying Political Science.

Favorite Movies: U23D, Sweeney Todd, Enchanted, Hairspray, Anchorman, Austin Powers, all Jurassic Parks, Fahrenheit 9/11, Harry Potter, BORAT, Casino Royale, Superbad, All Pixar Films, Fight Club, Man of the Year, Transformers
Favorite TV Shows: FAMILY GUY, SOUTH PARK, Price is Right (even with Drew Carey), Letterman, Conan, Daily Show, Colbert Report, Dirty Jobs, Cash Cab
Favorite Bands: Springsteen, U2, Zeppelin, Guns 'N Roses, Beatles, Kansas, Queen, Billy Joel, Elton John, everything classic rock
A Little About Me: I'm entering my senior year at Shawnee High School, located in sunny South Jersey. This means I'm supposed to be preparing for college and all that. However, I find myself being distracted by Harry Potter. MuggleCast keeps me busy on a weekly basis, MuggleNet's news keeps me busy on a daily basis, and managing the site and its staff keeps me busy on an hourly basis.

Strangely similar to Jamie's story, I too learned about Harry Potter when my teacher read Sorcerer's Stone to my class. Soon after we finished reading it, I went to the local book store with a friend to pick up a new book to enjoy. To my huge surprise, RIGHT at the front of the book store was the "Newly Released" Chamber of Secrets. I purchased the book and began reading it with a friend during our millionth sleepover.

It is nice to reminisce about how I first heard of the book. Thanks, Mrs. Wilson!

Favorite Music: The Kooks, Panic! At the Disco, Fall Out Boy, Arctic Monkeys, Razorlight, The Killers, Hard-Fi
Favorite TV Shows: None at the moment
Favorite Book: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
A Little About Me: I started reading Harry Potter when I was ten and instantly became a fan. Soon after that I discovered MuggleNet and it wasn't long before I began working here early in 2005. I still thoroughly enjoy the job which helps curb my crazy obsession with the books (which I've read too many a few times).

The hightlight of my Potter, um, "journey" was meeting the author of the series, Joanne Rowling. Jo - as she's known to her friends, family, and fans - generously (huge understatement) invited me to London this past summer for the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (see picture inset). Meeting the woman I've idolised for almost a decade was without a doubt one of the most incredible experiences of my life. If you're reading this, Jo, thanks again!

MuggleNet has also provided some other great perks, all of which paled enormously in comparison to meeting the queen JK Rowling. For the release of Half-Blood Prince, I had the opportunity to attend JK's midnight release at Edinburgh Castle. I also interviewed the stars of Goblet of Fire at the film's world premiere in London later that year.

But, there's (a little) more to me than Harry Potter. I love music and (can) play five instruments. I also enjoy sport, particularly tennis, swimming, and sailing.

Favorite Movies: Shaun of the Dead, Green Street Hooligans, Fight Club
Favorite TV Show: Six Feet Under
Favorite Bands: Interpol, The Sex Pistols, Alexisonfire, The Pixies, most good rock music basically.
A Little About Me: I've been around MuggleNet three years now - amazing, huh? Working here on the site has enabled me to meet other Harry Potter devotees, and it's great knowing you're part of this immense fandom. My staff email continues to be a disaster area so I apologize at my lack of organization and laziness to get my email sorted. I'm sure I'll get around to it - one day. Aside from my life here on MuggleNet, I am just your average adolescent, attending University, reading, writing, and watching the English Premier (soccer). It's been a great time here at MuggleNet, and it continues to be great - which is the main reason why I still hang around here!

A Little About Me: I was about 9 or 10 when I began reading the first Harry Potter book and was immediately hooked. Apart from getting me reading again, they also inspired me to join the online community of Harry Potter fans on MuggleNet, where, in 2006, I became part of the staff. Working for the site is an amazing experience and helps express my passion for the books.

When I’m not busy working on the site or studying I love spending time with my family and friends. Music is quite significant in my life; I enjoy playing the keyboard and listening to music from bands like Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, Taking Back Sunday, Lost Prophets, The All-American Rejects, Arctic Monkeys, Linkin Park and Yellowcard, to name just a few. Just as significant is watching some of my favourite TV shows, which includes 24, Lost, Prison Break, My Family, The Simpson’s and Little Britain. I also share Rachel’s obsession for football.

A Little About Me: I've been with the MuggleNet since September 2004, and there is no better HP site anywhere! The best people you would ever want to meet work here and visit here. My main job is working in the books section, finding all those little things Jo likes to hide and tease us with, and there are LOTS of them! And while I'd love to do this full time, I have to work for a living as a database analyst. Any other time is spent with my son, jack, going to soccer, cub scouts, motocross (yes,I have insurance). I am yet another one of those obsessed people on MN who love all things Harry Potter. Thankfully, Emerson finds us and keeps us off the streets. Well, sort of. Except for Andrew and Ben.

About Me: I first got into Harry Potter when the first book came out, and immediately I was intrigued by the magical world Jo had created. However, it is only until recently that I fell into the HP fandom that exists today. I had found about MuggleCast and instantly fell in love. Afterwards, I joined the prestigious PicklePack club in 2007 and a week later I quickly applied for a job at MuggleNet and was hired. I am immensely proud to be a part of a great staff and I plan on staying with them until the end, even if I'm 60 years old.

I consider myself a fan just like everyone else. I enjoy wizard rock, fan fiction, and Harry Potter Facebook groups. Throughout my time in this fandom I have met so many amazing people, including those through the MuggleCast fan forums and the vultures (gak!), whom I all love dearly. Harry Potter aside, I am a senior in high school, with a hope to major in either aeronautics engineering or medicine in college. I enjoy baseball, football, music (such as Kill Hannah, Keane, and The Remus Lupins), math, TV (Eureka, Psych, 24, Mythbusters, Law and Order: SVU), reading, and believe it or not, I still enjoy Pokemon!

A little about me: I'm a Harry Potter-obsessed college student at Quinnipiac University. I'm a double major in English and History, and I'll be graduating in two years. I started reading Harry Potter in 1999 when my grandfather practically forced the book down my throat and, the rest, as the cliche tells me, is history! I help maintain the books and editorials sections on this site, but I've only been working for MuggleNet for a few months now. Besides Harry Potter, I love classic literature, spending money I really don't have, and pretentious coffee.

A Little About Me: I've been a huge fan of HP since I was about 8, but - shockingly - I've only been involved with the online Potter community for a couple of years. I was hired to work on MuggleNet in February 2006, and began as one of the "gallery minions". Since then I've taken on as much work as I can manage and have loved being a part of the site.

In my spare time I like to read books such as Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy and anything written by Malorie Blackman. The last thing I read was Wicked by Gregory Maguire (I love the musical at the moment) and I'm pretty sure he's going to become one of my favourite authors once I've read more of his work. On my iPod there's a lot of Bloc Party, Panic at the Disco, Death Cab for Cutie, Imogen Heap and musicals like Rent and Wicked. Oh and MuggleCast, of course. I also play piano, clarinet and guitar. In school I have theories about everything and anything, and I tend to find myself trying to persuade my friends that Ron is not going to die in the 7th book ;-)

A Little About Me: Henry B. Adams said that a teacher has the power to affect eternity - because one can never tell where one's influence ends. I can, therefore, only guess at what Jo Rowling must feel like, having seen first hand the progression and expansion of the HP series and its fandom from my own perspective as a MuggleNet staffer since November, 2002. I've been here a long time on this site, and dearly love the Harry Potter books and my position here to bits. My main contributions to the site today lie in judging and producing each week's Crazy Caption Contest, and taking up my co-hosting role each week on MuggleNet's podcast, MuggleCast. The fruit of my labors has most definitely transpired in the vast locations where I have traveled on behalf of or in connection with the site, podcast, or my esteemed colleagues, which most recently was London, England where we attended the Book Seven release party in Waterstones bookstore, Piccadilly Circus.

Originally from Reading, Pennsylvania, USA I completed my first year of tertiary study at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand and have returned to the States hoping to continue my college education where I reside currently in Chicago, IL. No time difference has kept me from my work here on MuggleNet, and the most rewarding bits of it are the responses from fans who enjoy the content and discussions we work to provide. Recent updates have included the emergence of the Caption Contest v2.0, which allows for even MORE user interactivity. Check it out!

A Little About Me: If anyone had told me this time two years ago that as a result of getting my job here at MuggleNet, I'd be heard by tens of thousands of people all over the world and that I'd get to travel to loads of great places because of it, I probably wouldn't have believed them. Time has definitely flown by, and the site has grown in ways I never imagined when I was first brought on board as an awestruck 15-year-old back on Halloween of 2004. Around a year ago, I made a guest appearance on MuggleNet's hit radio talk show, MuggleCast and... kind of never left. (This was a result of my constant nagging perseverance to get a girl on the show... guess it worked!) Outside of MuggleNet, I'm a homeschooler and a senior in high school with dreams of going away to a wonderful college on the horizon. I enjoy reading (duh), writing, arguing with certain people (you know who you are) over what "good" music is, photography, and loads of other things you may or may not find interesting. There you have it!

A Little About Me: You can blame Kevin and Andrew for me being here. I first started working for MuggleNet in July 2005. I offered to do the transcripts for MuggleCast and things kind of went from there. Now, I have a whole team of transcribers working with me making sure the show's transcripts get out every week. They really do a great job. I also do MuggleCast's weekly news segment where I attempt to satirize the past week's top Harry Potter news and occassionally prod Jo to update her site (it has magically worked once, so no reason to stop there). When I'm not doing MuggleCast work I do have an actual job (shocking). I am the Coordinator of Internet and New Media Services for the Arena Football League. Basically, all that means is I run their website and handle their podcasts and other new media. Funny how working with this site has helped in the real world.

A Little About Me: I first got into the series when a friend took me to see the first Harry Potter movie with his family back in high school. I hadn't heard of it and I hadn't thought I'd fall in love with the series the way I did. Upon returning home I immediatly went to my trusty dial up internet and searched 'harry potter' on astalavista and found... MuggleNet. I fell in love with the series and MuggleNet was there to help me find all the information I wanted. 6 Years, 4 movies, 7 books and loads of experience later... I finally joined the MuggleNet Staff. I've already helped out with such projects as simple as programming surveys and as large as the Caption Contest v2.0.

A Little About Me: I got involved with Harry Potter when my brand new, and now best friend, forced me to watch Sorcerer’s Stone. I immediately fell in love with the characters, and simply had to read the books. Harry renewed a love for reading that I had long since lost. I stumbled upon MuggleNet shortly after and became a frequent visitor. I was lucky enough to be hired on this year by Becky as a gallery coder.
I graduated from college in 2003 with my degree in photography and became a business owner in 2005. Someday I hope to take portraits of my favorite celebrities, such as (besides Mrs. Rowling) Kate Winslet and John Mayer, whom I am a HUGE fan of. No, really. I never miss The Office, Heroes, and What Not to Wear. I have the coolest pet in the world, a hedgehog named Tuck. I am in love with my MINI Cooper Convertible and wouldn’t trade it for the world. Well…maybe for a chat with Jo.

A Little About Me: I was one of two very lucky Harry Potter/MuggleNet fans chosen in September 2004 to help keep up with the growing number of editorials sent to the site each day. A fan of the series since GoF, my obsession had progressed so much by then that I needed a creative outlet before I blew up like Aunt Marge. So, here I am, grateful for the chance to live and breathe HP and MN, and to meet countless people whose sometimes profound, sometimes wacky ideas have kept me entertained for (gasp!) years now. In my real life, I work as a page designer and copy editor for a daily newspaper and hope to escape the trenches of journalism one day for a cushy consulting gig I can do in my pajamas from home.

A Little About Me: My Potter obsession started when a very good friend of mine was reading GoF and couldn't put it down when she was hanging out at my place. She offered to read some aloud and it was the Triwizard Tournament, the first task. I was instantly captured and ran out the next day to get book one. Well - I read it in a day and a half and the rest is history. In my real life, I've been very happily (if you can believe it) married for just over ten years now, and have a nine-year-old daughter. I homeschool my little girl and we have tons of fun every day (she's reading HBP right now). I haven't actually realized that I'm not 20 anymore and people always think I look like it or younger. My geekiness is growing as I age though, and since joining the MN team in January of 2007, I've discovered all kinds of new outlets for my inner geek. I've been educated in all things geek by a great friend (who may or may not be on staff as well). (Edit: I am! -Sara)
