Rupert Grint
E! has just released a new interview with Dan Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Tom Felton where they discuss the sixth Potter film and some of the cuts that have been made. Also in the clip is footage of the crew filming a corridor scene with Dan and Rupert at Gloucester Cathedral. Thanks to The Daily Snitcher for the tip!
The top-earning actor on the list, Harry Potter alter-ego Daniel Radcliffe, 18, earned $15 million. That's more than performers twice his age, like Jennifer Aniston and Sandra Bullock, who earned $14 million and $10 million, respectively, made over the same period. The Potter franchise catapulted Radcliffe's co-stars Emma Watson and Rupert Grint to the list with $4 million apiece. This summer's fifth installment, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, was the second highest-grossing film of the year (edged out by Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End), raking in $938 million worldwide. The trio are already filming the follow-up, Half-Blood Prince.E! Entertainment will have a one-hour special on this countdown on Saturday, December 22nd, at 6 PM EST.
"So, to me, it's just about letting people know that I'm incredibly serious and passionate about this -- this series of films -- and how much they mean to me. If you've been involved in something for more than seven years now, you want to be able to talk about it articulately and explain why you love it, explain why you loved being involved in it so much."
The second article from the Edmonton Sun addresses the mood of Half-Blood Prince, and how different it will be from Deathly Hallows. Producer David Heyman said that humor in the sixth film will be "slightly warmer," but Radcliffe noted he can't wait to get to the more darker tone of the seventh and final film.
Thanks to Taylor for sending this in!

The fifth Harry Potter movie that was released earlier this year dominated the National Movie Awards, winning three of the six prizes. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix won the award for best family movie. Emma Watson picked up best female performance for her role as "Hermione," while Daniel Radcliffe who plays the lead won for best male performance, beating Daniel Craig from the Bond movie, Johnny Depp, and co-star Rupert Grint. Rupert has this to say about losing to Dan: "Obviously I didn't expect to win, because I think Dan deserves it more than me." The winners were picked solely on public votes. The show will be broadcast on ITV1 on Saturday at 21.30 GMT.
In response to the charges against Joshua, Rupert issued the following statement: "I am totally appalled and disgusted by the actions of Joshua Lodge. I am 100% behind the victim."
Lodge, 19, was cautioned by the police for the offense. This means his name will remain on the sexual offenders list for the next two years.
EDIT: Stephen Fry, the voice behind the UK Potter audiobooks, also celebrates his big 50th birthday today!
"Everywhere I go people stop me, recognise me. I mean, I don't know quite how to explain it. It's just completely turned my life upside down so, yeah, just — you just have to kind of adapt, I guess."
"I don't feel I've missed out on anything. Perhaps I've grown up slightly faster than some other people my age simply because from the age of 11 I've been surrounded by more adults than kids. I've had a working relationship with adults and that does change how you develop and mature. You possibly do grow up slightly faster.
"The other day, somebody said the last Harry Potter film will probably be released in 2010. I don't know how true that is, but if it's the case then that will have been 10 years of my life and that's a huge chunk, so I'll be sad because it will be the end of an era in a way. But I equally imagine it will be quite exciting to be out of that world."
Also, This Is London reports Dan will gross $50 million for the next two films together.
Don't forget the trio will be on Richard & Judy today. We'll have a video online shortly afterwards. EDIT: Looks like it didn't air. We'll update you with more soon.
"I was a bit disappointed when Quidditch didn't make it, but I mean... it's such a big book, there's so much to fit in I can understand why they pared it down.
But I'm kinda hoping it'll be in the next one."
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix comes out in theaters on July 11th.
UPDATE: Ain't It Cool News also has a report from this morning's press conferences with the OOTP cast and crew. It contains information about the fifth and sixth movies, but more interestingly, Book 7.
In the original draft of the screenplay Order of the Phoenix, they had decided to remove a character from the story. Rowling read over the screenplay and said “I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” that they were free to do whatever they liked, of course, but "if you make a 7th movie you’ll have tied your hands."The report is spoiler-free for those concerned but contains theories from the author.
UPDATE #2: A second interview was also conducted with David Yates. Yates talks about the new movie and the sixth movie as well. In the interview he discusses the relationship between Dumbledore and Harry:
"It’s a very different dynamic this time because there’s a lot more between Dumbledore and Harry. I think we’ll be alright on this one. I’ve got a good feeling."
He has also said that he has "talked about" coming back for the Deathly Hallows movie as well.
There is also an article to accompany the photos, viewable at Teen Vogue's website. Thanks to everyone who e-mailed with the tip!
Each of the three actors contributed interviews, which can be read on the images. In one part, Dan talks about how Order of the Phoenix has shaped up:
With this one, it's like everything has come together. It's been my favorite one to do. The character is so exciting in this film. He's so complex. When you're eleven, you're not that complicated. You know what you like and what you don't like, and you know what you want to do and what you don't. But as you get older, there's so much more. You're constantly subjected to this whole cacophony of conflicting thoughts. And I've been able to use that, I hope, to capture some of the detail and complexity of Harry.
Rupert Grint, along with his on-screen twin brothers, James and Oliver Phelps, attended the NME music awards in London last night. Some photos of them can be seen here, with Rupert sporting rather long hair.
The February/March issue of The Saddle Club features a new interview with Rupert Grint where he talks about the sixth film, the fandom, and recent rumors concerning Emma Watson:
I heard that Emma Watson might leave the series before it's over. Do you know the story there? It's important to note that, even though Rupert has heard them too, rumors of Emma leaving the series before the seventh film should be taken with a grain of salt. Thanks to Kylie for sending in this article!
I'm not actually sure. I don't really know the details, but I have heard that. I don't know. It would be weird without her, and it would be a sort of shame if she doesn't stick it out. It's not up to me because they do take up so much of your life. I don't know what she thinks, but I do hope that she doesn't leave.
Did she say anything while you've been filming like, "I can't take this anymore!"
No, not really. She hasn't really talked about it. I know me and Dan [Radcliffe] are going to stick it out. So we'll just have to see really. I hope she doesn't leave.
