Printing press to be modeled for Deathly Hallows film
The Daily Record reports today that a 100-year-old printing press is being replicated by Deathly Hallows film producers for one of the scenes. The owner of the printing press, David Phillips of Perthshire, was pleasantly surprised when he was invited to Leavesden Studios (where they film Potter) to help the producers come up with a design:
"I have no idea what part it plays in the movie because the set in Watford was like Fort Knox, security was that tight."
Us know-it-all Potter fans can probably guess that this would be used for Xenophilius Lovegood's Quibbler newspaper. Thanks to Snitch Seeker for the tip!
