Great to hear about it, though it doesn't matter to me. I'll have finished the book thrice before I listen to one audiobook from start to end. Though, most of the "facts" about the audiobooks seem to hve been made up using a calculator--not very "Potterish" they are..

Hey what if that sleeping dragon is guarding the treasure that they seem to have found in the cover of the kids British edition?!?!?!? In the cover they have burn marks and if you look behind them theres fire.......I think that the quote means not to tickle the sleeping dragon that is guarding the treasure. what do you guys about this^^^^

I can't believe it, somebody said that he doesn't know why would there be a dragon beneath Hogwarts. And i ask you now, WHAT if Voldemort comes to Hogwarts and Dumbledore is gone? The dragon is for protection. Hogwarts is older than Dumbledore and it has some kind of protection even Dumbledore or Voldemort don't know how to manage. So Hogwarts is now at peace and the dragon is sleaping, but if Voldemort comes and attacks Hogwarts he will ''tickle'' the dragon. The dragon will awake and Voldemort will regret he came to Hogwarts one final time. Do you really believe Hogwarts could survive trough history without any protection except the staff. IF so the school is extremly easy to capture. And remember when Hagrid says that Gringotts is the safest place to hide something, except maybe Hogwarts. So if Gringotts has dragons and Hogwarts is even better protected why not Hogwarts???!!!

I love Stphen Fry he's brilliant, I dont have the audio books simply because i love reading so much but from the bits i have heard over the years he is fabulous and as i've just got a new baby cousin (the son of the aunt who gave me the first two books as a present for my 12th birthday back in 1999) it's great to know i can introduce him to Harry Potter even earlier and be confident he'll be listening to a brilliant rendition :)

HAVE THEY LOST THEIR MINDS!!!!!????? Jim Dale has "performed" all 6 books. He has won a massive amount of awards for his presentation of these books. He has hundreds of voices so distinct that you know who the character is without saying "Harry said" or " Ginny said". I have all 6 of the audio books and the paper books. I have gotten many of my friends "hooked" on the audio book. We all have a long comute to work every day and we have all listened to these books multiple times. I am extremely disappointed that J.K. would allow this change after Jim Dale has done such a wonderful job on the prior 6 books.

Ahhh, Stephen Fry....brain the size of a planet....a voice like warm honey......and as camp as a row of tents!! I love him! I want to adopt him!

Stephen Fry is hilarious and JK has had great respect for him even before she was a world famous writer. Any of you Americans heard of the massively succesful, Blackadder comedy series? That's just one of the thins he's done; check it out! The comedy quiz show, QI with rounds of questions called "General Ignorance", etc and with guest teams of the UKs funniest, is also worth catching. :)

Wait just a minute....are you telling me people DONT listen to Queen’s ‘It’s a kind of magic’ 330 times??! I'm doing it right now. :) Go Stephen Fry. He gets to know the story before everyone else. He has the best job ever.

Posted by Sorlia Jul 2nd 2007

AccioRon Never insult Stephen Fry!... and certainly don't curse him. You'll have a lot of angry and very unhappy people if you do, me being one of them :P He's incredible! Jim Dale will still be reading the American version so don't worry. Also check out Stephen's work.....QI, Blackadder, Jeeves and Wooster and his books so you can be enlightened :)
