aww i watched it it was fantastic and jonothan ross is hilarious! i was quite shocked to hear that the last word isn't 'scar' anymore and that there was a chapter at the end where Jo howled! I think Bob Hoskins should play slughorn :D and i like how the other interviews with Bob Hoskins and Gok Wan had little HP references in them lol. and you should go on youtube and watch the rest of the comic relief thing: "Harry Potter and the Secret Chamberpot of Azerbaijan" coz the full length one is the funniest thing ever! I think this interview had a lot of clues too. like how she says that Harry's story comes to a clear end..... hmmm.
Jo on SKY NEWS at premier was asked something bout book 7 and she said "FANS WILL EITHER LOVE OR HATE IT. IT HAS TO END, THATS THE WAY IT IS." Now add this to "Bloodbath" "A clear ending" and "Howling" and i think we better brace ourselves for the worst...this chapter near the end must see the death of one of the trio. What else would make her cry so much...Hagird? I know she likes him a lot...
OMG, that almost made me cry, I can't imagine how she felt. I can't believe it'll all be over in 2 weeks :'(
There are some things from that intervew that stuck to me New character, can't say who BLOODBATH can't say last word (although I knew she wouldn't) Neil knows how the book ends Jessica doesn't BLOODBATH the chapter near the end, although I had read her saying that before I watched the intervew, the way she said it scared me, why did she howl? What happens? Don't ask me why....but the way she talks about Hermione (sniff) as if she were sad about something BLOODBATH T hings that traumatized me: Harry does Las Vegas BLOODBATH Harry finds a hooker BLOODBATH "You'r e a woman Harry" BLOODBATH *bre athes deeply* OK, I'm done....BLOODBATH!!!!!!!! !!!!!WHY NO WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME!!!!!!???????
OMGosh! I really fell sad now.. it's all coming to a close..
omg that is so funny
i like just saw this on tv!! it was like so cool! poor jo. if she howls, then im sure i will to. i think i know why she cried. in the fifth book near the end, serious died. the same thing happened with dumbledore in the sixth book too. so maybe somebody dies in that chapter that she cried on. i mean, that just what i think. what did adeathlyhallows do? i dont know anything about all this stuff. *sigh* tell me people!! lol
Slytherin15, when i came here, adeathlyhallows was already out, but from what i figured, he put the names of some chapters, potentially from book7. i for one, am glad i didn't read that. and, as you, i had the same idea about when she cried..
wow this was a great interview!!! but when j.k made it sound like harry was going to die....am i the only one who thought that it sounded like this ?!?!?!?
wow i can't believe the end of the series is almost here....
WANKIARMUS!!!!! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!
cleavage.
That rocked....omg so amazing!
lol he is sooooo funny...f***-offlius hahahaha Jo is sooo clam and warm in the interviews .. sometimes I can't hear what she said !
I loved this interview! And there was a fair bit of new info in it too! His spells were so funny!
Bob Hoskins For Horace Slughorn
OMG A BLOODBATH!!! THIS IS SOO INTENSE!! I WILL TOTALLY BE I LOVE WITH THIS BOOK EVEN IF ITS THe last
"Harry's story is definitely at an end" He is so dead *cries*
RyAn2006~ i disagree. she said she cried sohard because she had had the chapter planned for so long and she was finally finished with it. and i completely dont believe that she would kill off the trio. thats just stupid.
When Rowling answered the question about writing more books, she said she hadn't ruled out going back to 'that world'. Not 'Harry's story', but the world in which it's set. That, the 'bloodbath' comment, and the fact she cried at one of the chapters and said that Harry's story is at an end gives me the ominous impression that he's going to die.
that is sooo sad :'( I THINK LUNA LOVEGOOD GINNY DRACO VOLDEMORT AND PERCY DIE but jo doesn't have to cry she can just change it like lets say harry dies she could just say that harry felt that he died but didn't!
man, i can't wait for the book. of course this REALLY didn't help my mindset. im going absoutley ballistic. EEEEEEUGHHHH!! but anyways; i thought this was absoutley priceless! lovely interview.
Soon-to-be SIR Bob Hoskins SHOULD play Professor Slughorn!!!! This vid was fantastically funny!
Hahaha my brother and sister and I were gonna say that it should end saying It's All a Dream as he picked off the spider from his socks under the stairs. Or imagine if the "Dark Lord" turned out to be Dobby and he ended up going on a massive killin spree.
I NEED TO READ THAT BOOK NOW!!!! P.S. GO JO! YOU ROCK!
i thought the most interesting part of the interview was jo saying that there was a character in the seventh book that bob hoskins could play. do you think she was just bluffing? or are we really gonna meet a new character?
Stop. Everyone calm down a bit. I haven't watched the uploads because I saw the interview on BBC1 here in the UK last night. Yep, she did utter the word "bloodbath". Seemed pretty much an off-the-cuff throwaway remark because she went on almost immediately to say "No, not a bloodbath, but more than two characters die". Don't know anything about fake chapter titles - one benefit of seeing it on regular TV is that there isn't much risk of internet contanimation. [Motto for the day: "The Internet is rather like a herd of elephants - large, noisy and apt to produce stunning amounts of excrement, completely without warning".]
i think dobby was based on gary lineker. lol. maybe dobby will try to steal harrys crisps in book 7
Oops. Typo. For "contanimation" read "contamination". Sorry, people.
JK looked just beautiful! I think she is a really humble person...again another nice characteristic to see in her!
It was interesting that she said "Harry's story comes to quite a clear end" which makes me wonder...if he survived, we'd be forever asking questions and nothing would be clear....I think his chances of dieing now are much higher...
i thought Jo was howling just because it was all over- she was done with writing the books that changed so many peoples perspectives on reading. I think some of you are looking too deep into that part.
Now that the air is a little more clear about the deaths, I also wonder if people are misreading this whole thing about "scar" being (or not being now) the last word of the book. It could be that JKR is not referring to Harry's scar at all, and talking about the EMOTIONAL SCAR that will be left for whatever characters survive. JKR is constantly trying to throw people of the scent. Remember the quote she gave us before HBP came out ("He looked rather like an old lion" or something to that effect). Everyone was totally convinced that was describing the Half-Blood Prince because we were all trying to figure out the identity of the Half-Blood Prince, and it turns out she was describing the new Minister. In this case, there are a lot of people who are convinced that Harry's scar is a Horcrux, so any reference to scar takes on extra significance. It could be that JKR is referring to an entirely different kind of scar.
I still think Bob Hoskins would be perfect as Horace Slughorn!
JKR is constantly trying to throw people OFF the scent... just to clear up my mistake a couple of comments ago. I also think a lot of people are reading too much into her "howling" after writing a certain chapter. Yes, it could be that she was mouring the death or deaths of certain character(s), but it also could be that she is mourning the end of her life's work. She has spent 17 years with this story, and know it is over! I would be crying too...
I'm also gonna start crying if I don't learn how to type...
omg! ok... when she wuz talkin bout completly howling, i think that was when harry died. i mean what else could it be? or maybe hermione, or ron.
AAAAHHHH . . omg i love her!! 13 days guys, can you believe it??? what are we going to do with ourselves after its done??
lmao, very funny.... but did she say more than two die?!?!??!?! o no not more than two!!! please.... welll i mean if its like death eaters that die or people working with voldemort that die, i dont really care... but if its ron, hermione, or harry or anyone harry knows than that will make me cry. and i dont think harry dies in deathly hallows
That was great! I can't believe the last word is no longer scar!
Wow, what a great interview. Jonathan Ross is so incredibly hilarious.
OMG i cant believe she said that more than two chracters die...:( it would be kinda stupid killing harry ron and hermione lol so i hope its like 2 outta 3. but its weird cos she said that the book comes to a definite end,,,but one day might return to them? i cant wait any longer, im taking a "sick" day from work on the 21st...i mysteriously shall be ill. i really hope that she didnt kill them off for the sake of it cos if she did i would so disappointed.
sorry im so nervous and scared right now, i just really hope to God she didnt kill off the trio- if she did i would hate the books cos it would be like there being no light at the end i mean ALL of them dead. i pray its not the trio- it will probably be Harry, but OMG i cant wait i am in total shock its gna come to an end pretty soon
SMY GOD....what interests me the most is how she talkes about hermione being like her when she was at school..and that she howling when she finished a chapter..i think that hermione is going to die!! i no i no i dont want her too either (imagine how ron will take it!) but i think that she will b the only one out of the trio to die.
Ha. I love that you Americans are in to the whole British comedy thing 'cause Jonathan Ross is a very funny fella! My highlights had to be, of course: 1. The infamous 'WANKIARMUS' & his other 'creative' spells.. 2. The idea that Dobby was based on Gary Lineker, and THEN the impression that Jonathan did to follow.. 3. & of course Jonathan Ross asking whether the infamous last sentance was about Harry's 'scar' on his forehead, or 'ska' music, suggesting Ron & Hermione were perhaps at a 'Specials' gig. Classic.
That movie in the end, and his made-up-spells are so funny! When she said bloodbath, I was like: What?! - All the Order's going to die?!.. and then she said: "more than two"(or something like it) it was a big relief.. she really scared me there! :P I think that the show was pretty funny all the way through, especially the things I've already mentioned, and when he said he had already read the book :P
i dun think adeathlyhallow tittle's is real ||| it says 1st chapter's "The Dark Hallow" here, ||| but look at http://adeathlyhallow.blo gspot.com/2007_06_01_arch ive.html ||| it's Petunia's secret there
Can you please post a transcript as I have tried to watch both parts of the interview and it keeps freezing up about halfway through each one. I found it most interesting that Scar is now not the last word though of the parts I did see.
I'm pretty sure she killed Harry, she keeps saying things that lead me to believe it, hope she pulled it off well if she did at least...
The interview was terrific and I find it facinating that even Jo-who doesn't think she'll ever write another HP book....said she would never say never!!! So there is always hope that she too will find the characters too hard to say goodbye to them forever. That was trully the best part of the interview!
