I am sure she will be important...for Neville to kill, anyway! :P She will probably kill someone else, but Neville (with help from Harry) will eventually kill her to avenge his parents. Harry and Neville may even AK her at the same time, to avenge Neville's parents and Sirius at the same time.

oh good i really like bellatrix so im glad she is a main character in DH. when i say i like her i mean she is interesting in the books, obviously she is an evil evil cow=) but i dont know if neville will kill her, like DD said killing is not as easy as the innocent beleive. would he be able to AK her??? i would like if he did but i dont know oif he has it in him! id like voldy to kill her or maybe her sister.

JKR didn't say she was going to be a main character, just significant. All I can say to that is "Duh!" She's one of the top Death Eaters, and in the 6th book, she's having issues that she's no longer considered to be the Dark Lords most trusted, since Snape knows things she did not. I can't wait to see what JKR is going to do with her! She could have a conflict of interest, be stubborn enough to turn on fellow DE's, who knows! I would have been severely disappointed if the 7th book ignored or otherwise diminished Bellatrix's role!

Urg Bonam-carter as Bellatrix is not good, not good at all! I mean yea she's okay, she just isnt Bellatrix. More comic relief baddie than real baddie. You can tell bonam-carter hasnt read the books, or at least, only read them after she was given the part, 'cause in an interview awhile ago, she was like "I've played witches before, so yea" and i just thought... yea, she hasnt read the books to make a statement like that. stereotypical "fly my pretties, fly!" (wizard of oz lol) isnt the order of the day in harry potter. theyre all real people, just who can do magic. thats why bellatrix is so hated, cause she's real - like the people u see on the news who are mentally ill and in cults and have killed people... and whats with all the makeup? we know bellatrix is in love with voldemort, but i dont think wearing a shed-load of lippie is gunna help her case with him... rant over lol.

Thats so great! Bellatrix is definatly my favourite character, i have even name my cat after her! There is never a dull moment, quite literaly! Shes just such an indepent woman... even though she may be on the side of voldemort, she is still fiesty and independant!!!

I saw the movie last night in a sneak preview. For the short time she was on screen Bellatrix was fun to watch. Of course she's a bad guy, but convincing and ghastly as well. If there's more of her to come then it should be good stuff. Not a lot of screen time for many of the minor characters. I don't remember much of the movie that d/n have Harry in it either. Quick paced, considerable book scenes, characters, dialogue omitted, but in order to get a watchable movie in a reasonable length - I think were judicious in what was included. Noticably absent is the scene in Grimwold place where cleaning is going on and a locket that could not be opened is discarded. I wanted to see that since it is key now that we have book 6. Go see it. Its good times.
