Possibility of 'Deathly Hallows' being sold early
Possibility of 'Deathly Hallows' being sold early It has emerged that some book stores in the UK are not required to keep a written agreement preventing them from selling Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows before its release next Friday.

"It's quite possible one will break the embargo," says Katherine Rushton from The Bookseller magazine. "They'd do it to be first, and for all the PR."

Bloomsbury replied saying that there is "no reason to believe anyone would want to ruin the excitement. If such a thing were to happen, we believe that the public would make their feelings known by not buying it from such a spoilsport retailer. [However] it is our intention to vigorously enforce the embargo if required."

When the book comes out, they should put up something on Mugglenet where we all read the last chapter together, then immediately type up our reactions.

I dunno about not buying it. I mean I don't live in the UK anyway but I guess if one of the bookstores in my country sold it early I'd get it from there cause I totally can't wait!

TISNF!! I can't believe this. No way. Still not believeing it. Still not. ... ......... . Still not.

July 21st is THE date. If some stores sell it beforehand the whole magic of that evening will be broken. Queues of excited fans, eagerly sharing that moment of the purest excitement would be left shattered if it were possible to get hold of the book beforehand at any given time. People would merely buy it whenever and the parties would almost seem inconsequential. I really hope everyone will pledge with me not to spoil it for anyone - this is such a major moment in a lot of people's lives it would be such a cruel act to harm that. Keep the spoilers away.

There's a rumor going on about an editors copy being leaked in California in a pdf file...

If someone DOES get it early, they better not spoil it for the rest of us.

Ok, that's not cool dude.

if i hear even the slightest inkling of ANY bookstore selling early, i am going to lock myself in my room and hide under the bed and not resurface until midnight on the 21st. and if anyone tries to spoil it for me on the way to the bookstore or back, they will pay most dearly. i will have sharp objects with me and my pink earmuffs.

Posted by narsaksas Jul 15th 2007

They had better not!!!!!!

I will personally inflict pain upon anyone who spoils the book for me. Or for anyone else. Or for themselves. Or in general. I have a strict policy about that. I'm strongly tempted to join wotchermuggle and shut down my computer until i've read the book, so as not to spoil it for myself.

NO! THEY CANT! I will go into hiding w/o computer or any news that can come because I want to know what happens when the whole world does! I have been with Harry for NINE YEARS NOW. I want to know what happens to him when everyone else fu***** does!
