Tom Riddle is a Harry/Hermione shipper! LMAO! The Riddle-Harry/Hermione part is proof! So NOW we know the truth as to why he was evil

Another thought: This book was so dark and several of the deaths were quite graphic, and let's not pretend there wasn't any language. Do you lot think they'll be able to get away with a PG-13 rating for the movie? How are they even going to make a movie out of this one? It's going to be insane. There's so much that happened, and not much you can cut out that isn't crucial to the overall plot. I dunno about you guys, but I would sit through a five hour movie. xDD

Posted by crackwhoresxx Jul 23rd 2007

I personally didn't like it... I think it was a lot of a letdown. All those deaths? They were definitely not necessary. What happened to the Dursleys? Molly Weasley killing Bellatrix? I don't think so. Lots of scenes appeared as though a 12 year old had written them - especially the epilogue, and Snape's memories. The battle between Voldemort & Harry was very short, and I was disappointed in Dumbledore. I wish there was more Draco. Also, Ron & Hermione got on my nerves! They were so lovey dovey and ignoring Harry... they begged him to take them with him but yet they complained! The epilogue was disgusting. :X Overall, I didn't HATE IT - but it's definitely my least favorite book of the Harry Potter series... and it could have been a lot better.

Posted by teddylupin11 Jul 23rd 2007

magicalmuggle16, the importance between their eyes is that snape looked after him and when his eyes looked like Lily's, stayed to it. And Albus inherited the eyes too......

Posted by marrianna Jul 23rd 2007

Oh my goodness. The whole book was absolutely amazing! It was so intense and I was on edge the whole time. I pretty much sobbed during all of chapter 24 and was more upset about Hedwig's death than Moody's... I wish that she had wrapped things up a little bit better. But hopefully she'll write some sort of encyclopedia that will explain things. Especially about the Veil...

Posted by blackdiamndboardr Jul 23rd 2007

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! but definitly left more loose ends than HBP did! i think OotP is still my favorite, but this one's right after it.

Posted by Vaan Jul 23rd 2007

meh it was decent I think it could have been waaay better seeing as how it could have been longer to describe certain things that were left out such as a death scene for Lupin and Tonks. Why the shhh is Ron all happy and shhh in dumbldores office.I wanted ron to die sooooo bad cause we already have two prominent main male role models.I thought Kreacher would be everywhere with them.He woulda been every where with me.I also thought he was the one that would be in gringotts vault.I understand that the veil and the DH stone are connected the veil is possibley a attempt to create a ston or a larger version to bring the dead back.Mrs.Weasly combat scene was waaaay to die hard.I wanted more Department Of mysteryies.I cryed on the death of the House Elf.ummm I got some more complaints but that will have to wait.

Posted by dumbrunettejen Jul 23rd 2007

omg SOamazing! it made me feel all warm inside when everyone came back to fight in the war against voldemort, and loved how it took place at hogwarts!.. couldnt have been a better spot. i cried for the longest time when fred died though.. him and george were my fav, i couldnt believe it! im getting teary-eyed just thinking about it. i knew snape was good! i was kinda happy about that, sad about his death though (and lupin and tonks!). kinda made me think differently about dumbledore, the way he was in his youth and how he calmly expected harry to die. but felt better towards him in kings cross.. even though that kinda dragged on. loved the twist of the wands.. how harry was really the owner of the elder wand! and i also felt the epilogue could have been much better ! but maybe thats me just wanting to know more and more and more about harry and his world.. who knows. overall though i HIGHLY enjoyed reading it and will probably read it ten more times (in the next month lol... jk). stupendous!

Posted by HarryAndGinny4evr Jul 23rd 2007

I love the book!! I cried for Doby and Fred and Moody shook me. And I felt so bad for Snape. But love the book entirely!! The epilogue was nice not that detailed but nice none the less. Im sad it over n I keep crying becauswe of it=[ Best book ever

Here is my list of unanswered questions. Please add to the list if you can think of any more, or help clear up any of my questoins that I may have overlooked. That way we can put a final list together and maybe, one day, be able to ask Jo. 1) How did Dumbledore defeat Grindelwald in a duel if Grindelwald had the elder wand? Was Rita Skeeter telling the truth when she said it might not have been the battle of legend? 2) Why was Harry able to see into Voldemort's thoughts again? Did Voldemort stop exercising occlumency? 3) If Bill Weasley was the Secret-Keeper for Shell Cottage, how was Ron able to speak its name and location in the Malfoys' dungeon? And how was Harry able to see it when he and Dobby first arrived? 4) What did Dudley see when the dementors attacked him? 5) What were Harrys' parents professions? 6) What were the trio's professions in the future? 7) Who was Snape's source that provided him with the information of Harry's departure from Privet Drive? If it was Dumbledore's portrait, what did he tell Voldemort? 8) Is Draco Malfoy a werewolf? After many clues in book 6, Voldemort asks Draco in chapter one if he will babysit the cubs of Lupin and Tonks. Does this confirm he is a werewolf? Or are we to assume that he is not since the book never explicity says so? And a single question for Mary GrandPre: 1) WTF? On a side note, for those who own "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" - Did you expect them to use the Erumpent horn to destroy horcruxes? I did. And after seeing that bust of Rowena Ravenclaw in the Lovegoods' home and watching it be destroyed by the explosion of the horn, I was so sure that it had been a horcrux. I was left disappointed.

Posted by christianaeg Jul 23rd 2007

i loved DH........ i think it was a great and gripping book... but what about what Dudley saw when he looked at the dementors??

Posted by nataliexkathryne Jul 23rd 2007

all in all, a great way to complete the series. i was a little sad about not seeing a whole lot of the other students, bu the brillence of neville in the last few chapter really made up for it. also though the epilogue could have been a bit longer. i did adore it though.

Posted by pmerrill6565 Jul 23rd 2007

For all those that think the missing wand on the cover was a mistake. Maybe it was left out on purpose if we had seen a wand in Harry's hand and not in Voldy's we would have known Harry had disarmed him.

Posted by Arbitrary08 Jul 23rd 2007

the battle was perfect, exactly how hogwarts would have done it. but the protection thing was a bit confusing when voldemort hit harry with the AK.

Posted by snapeward777 Jul 23rd 2007

everything was great about the book, except it still didnt answer ALOT of the questions jkr said the end of the series like what were harrys parents jobs? wasnt the ford anglia supposed to come back? and what about the rest of their jobs? im sooooooooooooo sad that its over, and i was only to be a fan for one book realease, because i got into it in 2005. im crying as i right this.

Posted by Valarie7505 Jul 23rd 2007

I think that was one of my favorites i mean epilogue kinda unanswered questions. Other than the unanswered questions best book yet!!!!!!!

Posted by gandalfxj9 Jul 23rd 2007

I loved this this book so much!! It was just great!! But it felt differnt from the other HP books and i don't know why. I think it was the lack of hogwarts and Hermione was just so...powerful.

Posted by DobbyFTW Jul 23rd 2007

I loved everything! The story, the epilogue everything!!!! when Dobby died it ripped me up inside though, he was my favorite. But yea, congrats JKR on finishing a series that has changed literary history! Also, maybe it was Ron who performed magic late in life...he was the one who had to speak parseltongue to get into the chamber of secrets....I dunno that is just the first thing that came to my head =)

Posted by BANSHE Jul 23rd 2007

Finally its all over! Sad but fun! I enjoyed DH alot, loved the fill in on Dumbledore and Snape (always knew there was more to him...he ran down James but never said a bad thing about Lily!) The Godrics Hollow bit drug some but the beginning clipped right along.I did like wormtail being strangled by his own hand!ha! The end I think she backed off a bit with who bought it and who didnt (Fred hit hard though..the twins were my favorites) LOVED MOLLY KICKING BELLATRIX'S BACKSIDE !!! who woulda thunk it! Bit disappointed in the confrontation between Voldemort and Harry ..had a bit of "nothing bad really happened IT WAS ALL A DREAM , thing going on" Nice idea about the wands! Who knew Draco Malfoy would come in so handy. didnt care much for the epilogue, not enough info.all in all I loved it but like HBP better.

Posted by nevilllerules Jul 23rd 2007

Teddy Lupin wasnt nearly one for the battle and at no point did it say that he was going to Hogwarts aged 19

Posted by avenger226 Jul 23rd 2007

Great book epilogue left a lot of unanswered questions

Posted by GryffindorLioness Jul 23rd 2007

I loved the book!!!!! I was right Snape was good! I knew it! even though my friends kept saying that he was bad... I loved the final battle between Harry and Voldemort. But why did Fred, Tonks, Lupin, and Dobby, have to die??? I was so sad... I cried so much when they died. The epilogue was so sweet, but I wanted to see what happened with ALL the characters not just the main ones, but the book was amazing. My favorite one!

Posted by mactay Jul 23rd 2007

We will find out something "incredibly important" about Lily Potter. R.A.B's identity will be revealed. We will discover more about Dumbledore's past. We will learn with whom Snape's loyalties lie. Something will be revealed about Petunia Dursley, although we already know that she is not a Squib. Viktor Krum will return (World Book Day, 2004 interview). We will see a reappearance of Dolores Umbridge: "It's too much fun to torture her not to have another little bit more before I finish." (MuggleNet/Leaky Interview) JKR has said "There is a character who does manage, in desperate circumstances, to do magic quite late in life, but that is very rare..." watss important about Lily? taht snape loved her? wats important about petunia dursley? humm

Posted by Potter_Chick_86 Jul 23rd 2007

The book was fantastic!!! I was crying, jumping, teetering on the edge of my seat....oh...AWESOME!!! 1) I think it was Trelawney that did magic later in life because she was always so dependent on her clairvoyance. 2) I cannot believe that Fred is gone. But more so, I feel bad for Percy because he truly lost his brother after Fred welcomed him back to the family. Talk about a guilt trip. 3) Kreacher was awesome!!! And so was Molly!!! 4) I can't believe all that stuff about Snape. I knew deep down he was good, but I didn't expect that good...and how much he loved Lily... As for all the questions, like Teddy being 19 and making out with Victoire on the Hogwarts Express, well that's what FAQ's on Jo's site are for. Oh and Victoire is obviously a French name so that must be Fleur and Bill's daughter. I WANT MORE!! I CAN'T BE OVER

Posted by ski_weasleylove23 Jul 23rd 2007

after i finished the book. i was speechless, lost, and happy! throughout the years we have grown attached to the Harry Potter books and im not ready to let them go..even though the story of the boy we came to love has come to an end. Deathly Hallows was a great book! but i read it way to fast. i think the 19 years later chapter could have been loads longer. i want to know everything that happened after harry defeated voldemort. What happened to Hogwarts..did anything change? What about the occupations of harry ron and hermione? I tihnk its fair to say we deserve to know more about what happened to the trio throughout the years. Since we have all grown so attached to the trio and the wizarding world itself. I miss harry and everyone already. Ive never been so attached to books before. Thank you so much Jo for writing the harry potter series. they will never be forgotten.

Posted by ackermaniv Jul 23rd 2007

i thought it was great. not only did she keep all of her promises (except maybe someone late in life being able to use magic.... but that may have happened, i don't remember), and you could tell that it had been all planned out, at least since book 5, if not earlier (i know she said she had it all planned out since she started, but i'm not sure if i completely believe that) almost all of the things i thought would happen did (and i'm sure alot of other people did as well), like dumbledore planning his death with snape, the locket, kreacher having to drink the poison, the tiarra in room of requirement being ravenclaw's horcrux, and harry himself being a horcrux), and i thought it was all fantastic the thing that is most surprising, though, is that i'm not upset, of having breif deppression, as i normally had (after books 5 and 6), and that's not because the book was bad, but because it was so satisfying. great job, jo, and hopefully, one day, you might wright another book, possibly becoming the (extremely extended) epilogue that i'm sure most of us hoped for. (that being said, i really loved the one she gave us, i was just a little disappointed that we didn't find out more about other characters, as i thought we would have)

Posted by The_Director Jul 23rd 2007

OMG! Severus is like THE MOST fantastic charaster that is ever written (ok, I'll not exagerate, maybe just in copule of centurise :)) the epiloge was short and I had a real problem withe the names. I mean Albus Severus. It is touching, especilaly the ting that Harry tell;s him, but is a little... to much. And it's a little wierd to me to name brother and sister James and Lilly when they were a couple. And Scorpius??? wtf?? And what happend to Teddy? Where did he lived and how much does he looks like his parents? I mean, what's he like on full moon and etc :) And it's great because we can still talk and disscus it. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!! No doubt my favourite one

Posted by jsampson Jul 23rd 2007

Was the nest book of the whole series. So many answers. I feel sorry for anyowe who read the epilogue first!! Totally spoiled the whole book for them!!! Dumbledore's story was amazing and seeing him back again at the end of the book was the best!! Totally loved it!!

Posted by pr3mo0 Jul 23rd 2007

Half of my life had been waiting for this ending, and God darn, Rowling nailed it! Who could have asked for more? I cried, I laughed, and I was in perfect awe! Of course, the only disappointment was the epilogue: which was a bit discreet, but good all the same. I feel like every piece of plot that has been growing ever steadily in the past 6 years of Harry's life have been revealed exactly how they were meant to. All of our theories: whether its Harry's a horcruxe and must die, is Snape is Good or bad; were all half true! I do not feel betrayed by JK! It's an amazing feeling to meet JK half to the truth and still be shocked and asking for more. JK you clever wit, " Wit beyond measure is a man's greatest treasure" you meant every word of it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DANIEL!

Posted by helshez Jul 23rd 2007

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was intense!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I agree there are a few questions unanswered, but I thought it was a fantastic book, and the encounter between Harry and Voldy was superb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kudos to JKR for a perfect ending to an outstanding series. :D

Posted by Venzen Jul 23rd 2007

First, I didn't want Harry to die, BUT I have to say it would have made a more fitting and lasting "ending" to the book and the series for Harry to have died willingly, like his mother did for him, to save the rest of the wizarding world from Voldemort. The last chapters could have focused on the putting back together of people's lives, rebuilding of Hogwarts, and fond rememberences of the boy-now-man who saved them. This may have been too "christ" like, I suppose, but I was preparing myself for Harry to die and when it looked like he was going to, then didn't, I wasn't relieved as much as jerked around. The ending was far from definite. I enjoyed Snapes memories, and I liked how his character, built over the previous 6 books, was reformed in my mind, everything now in perspective. That was a nice effect, though tragic. Most of the deaths, I thought, we too "safe", with the exception of Fred. That was a tough one. Lupin and Tonks death seemed sort of tossed in there. I like how Neville became the leader of the resistance within Hogwarts. I was hoping we'd get to see more of Ginny and the other characters in this last book, though focusing on the trio is author choice, of course. Overall, I loved the series. I think the last book will grow on me more and more.

Posted by ashflash Jul 23rd 2007

I really did like the book, very much so, but so many of the things I and so many others predicted were exactly what happened in the book. Which I guess means we are all insane Potter freaks who are really able to analyze the books very well and come up with logical conclusions to everything. For instance, RAB was just so obvious that I was almost disappointed when we actually found out that we were all right. Though the chain of events that the locket had experienced after his death were probably not what anyone expected. I really wish there had been a longer denouement, because I would have liked to see the emotional reactions of everyone to the deaths during the war... and like everyone else I would have liked to see a much, much better epilogue. When I finished reading it for the first time, I sort of sat and stared for an hour before I could do anything else. First I was emotionally drained from reading it, the fact that it was all over, and also I was very unsure of how to feel about how the whole thing ended. Meh. I'd give it an 8... probably.

Posted by but_the_plot_thickens Jul 23rd 2007

Overall, I'm just sad to see the series go. It's a bit like the death of an old friend really.

Posted by Maji Jul 23rd 2007

it took me around 18 hours to end years of wondering and magical wonders. I have never just started to cry, like I did when Harry was facing Voldemort ot die, without thinking I was pathetic... because it was just a book. I really felt like a close friend of mine was facing death, in real life. I never thought any part of the book was boring, I was constantly searcing for clues, and though that maybe even the smallest action could be the fatal one. I understand why Hedwig had to die, Harry had to lose more of the safety that his old life represented. Almost all of his fatherfigures are now killed. His father, Sirius, Dumbledore, Lupin, Mad-Eye. It had to be done, so we could see what a selfless person Harry came to be. Dobby died so he couldn't reveal who sent him, who Harry saw in the mirror. About the death of Voldemort I find no problems, it wasn't all that exciting, but I didn't need it. What I feel was the hight of the excitement and the real point of the book was when Voldemort hit Harry with the killing curse. After that I think Harry acted without fear, he knew it all, he knew how it would end. As his mind was calmer so was I, there were just a few things that had to be said and done before the end. A few surprises of course, lovely indeed:) Maybe I was just in shock after all the emotions I went through before the supposed "killing" of Harry. The epilogue was a bit messy, and I dont think I understood it all... or I understood most of it, I just have to read it again to find out how old Lily was compared to her brothers. And the name "Albus Severus"(!), I was almost falling out of my chair when I read it. I was shocked, but I thought it was really funny. it also means Severus truly was a good person. I just think Severus really wished he didn't have to teach the son of his great love, who married his childhood enemy. Too bad Snivelus;)

Posted by zsl2 Jul 23rd 2007

I thought hp7 was easily the best out of all of the books in the series. I was so sure that Harry was gonna have to go back to Hogwarts as a student, but I am extremely glad that he didnt. Hogwarts usually provided a backdrop for the entire story in the previous six books, but we got to see so many different places in hp7. It was a completely different kind of book. I thought the most emotional death was that of Dobby, just because the reader knew him the best. Fred's death was also heartbreaking, and Colin's was also disturbing. Mad Eye's death was sad as well. Every character who died, passed on doing something that they beleived in so none of them will go unremembered.

Posted by presidentconor Jul 23rd 2007

we need to understand that it's probably better that JKR left some loose ends open, so we could think for ourselves on some issues. in addition, she assured harry potter debates are gonna keep up for a lot longer than they would had she tried to close everything. i was, however, a little upset about how short she cut the celebration. she only gave it a few pages. i think she could have made that longer, or at least finish the book like she finished all the others: closing up at king's cross, and stating where harry was going.

Posted by sks4690 Jul 23rd 2007

was absolutely amazing yet ending was very very weak. Epilogue was completely pointless, it didn't even feel like jkr wrote it. Was hoping for more information about the future, not just their kids names. Other than that the book was perfect. she couldn't of ended the series any other way. although i did miss being at hogwarts.

Posted by DontBotherAngel Jul 23rd 2007

don't know how to put how much i loved the book into words. . . it was amazing. . . i finished it in 1&&a half days. . . i just couldn't put it down. . i thought it was a great way to end the series. . . i am sad that it's over. . . while in queue for it i could have burst into tears at the thought of never being able to find out the rest of harry&&friends life. . . people seem to think the epilouge was a let down. . .i thought it finished the book&&the series nicley. I thought it was very sweet of harry to name his children after his parents, Dumbledore&&snape. All the couples ended the way they should be in my opinion. As for the battle of hogwarts. . .absolutley breath-taking i couldn't take my eyes of the page. Even though i knew Harry wasn't dead i still cried my eyes out of hearing how ron, hermione ginny&&McGonagal where screaming. I even cried when hedwig&&dobby died. The way Harry 'died' was very effective, i believed it was the end, i didn't belive Jo would finish of Harry ust like that, i didn't want to belive it, &&i;m glad she didn't, it was an unexpected twist to the story, i loved it so so so so much, i have already started re-reading it. I'm glad snape turned out to be good, iv always been a big supporter of those who belive snape is good, i thought Dumbledores death was planned&&no one would agree with me, so i was glad it was. . . shows anything was possible in the book. But whyy did she skip to 19 years later. . . whyy not 10? or 15? or even 20? I would love to say a massive thank you to JK Rowling who has keptme entertained for my whole life nearly. I think she deserves a massive thank you in her excellent work, it was an outstanding way to end the series. . . && i just love Harry potter&&Magic&&all the creatues&&harryys friend in the wizarding world, they wil remain a great part of my life&&i will be passing the books onto my children in the greatest confidence they will love them as much as i do. Thank so so so so much.

Posted by dobbysfriend Jul 23rd 2007

While i did like the epilogue...i would liked it to be longer and explain a little more. Like what happened to Luna and the other Weasleys? Where's Kreacher? What ever happened to the Dursleys? (btw i totally cried when Dudley was saying goodbye to Harry!) I also wanted to know more about the veil. It also would have been nice to know what Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, etc. grew up to do (careers). Also, who developed magic later in life? I also wanted Sirius to be in it more. O well, altogether it was a great book, and i will definitley be reading it over and over. :)

Posted by stag_patronus Jul 23rd 2007

I really enjoyed this book, a great way to end the saga. I was slightly dissapointed by what seemed to me to be a slightly rushed end to the final battle - the death of Voldemort for instance - I thought I had missed a page or something - he just died too easily. And Neville should have avenged his parents by finishing Bellatrix really. I'm not a fan of the Epilogue but at least most things were wrapped up neatly. And the bittersweet last words of Snape... wanting to see Lilys' eye one last time... thanks JK!

Posted by iliveforharry Jul 23rd 2007

it was the best book i've ever read. you know, looking at these comments, everyones like 'she didnt answer things she said she would' like lily and james' occupations, etc., but if we weren't such huge harry potter fans, then we would never even be EXPECTING to see such things. if we didn't go on mugglenet, the book would be perfect! (aside from the epilogue, i guess) i don't mind that she didn't answer all her questions, i liked it the way it was. it was brilliant. although horribly sad. cried for about half of it. but overall, I LOVED IT!

Posted by harrypotter_4_life Jul 23rd 2007

seriously this book is going to be sooo hard to be made into a movie. i hope they do a great job because i want everything in it. i mean i guess they dont have to strecth out the ron harry hermione hideout thing like the book did. but overall i think taht this is the best book and i cried throght the whole thing. i feel like part of my life is over. its so depressing. and i'm so happy about the hogwarts thing as well it was so fitting to have it there cuz i was wondering what was going out at hogwarts (like with neville, ginny, and the professors) the whole book. there were so many funny parts like when kreacher did a spasm when trying to salute at hermoine, and ron said "i think they may have noticed we broke into gringots". oh man. and i cried when lupin made harry teddy's godfather. tear. and when kreacher led the house elves. and so many other parts. i wish it wasnt over, but i will love harry potter forever and mke sure tha tmy kids are just as obseesed with it as i am

i loved the book was not expecting the hallows to be the wand, clock and stone its crazy but great i cried when dobby died

Posted by Remus_memoriam Jul 23rd 2007

w00t! Just got an account on here! lol....the book was awesome! Even though I am sad about Hedwig, Snape, Dobby, Tonks, Remus, and Fred. the epilogue was a little lacking..but altogether it was really good. I cried several times...and laughed many times! The last installment did not disappoint! I miss Remus though..... and RON AND HERMIONE FINALLY GOT TOGETHER! Took them long enough..... Harry dying and then coming back was awesome, too. Go Neville and Mrs. Weasley! ;)

Posted by HafroThunder Jul 23rd 2007

Absolutely amazing. I loved the epilogue, even if some of you didn't. Probably my favorite book. Only thing I didn't get was the death dates on Lily and James' graves. Born 1960 and died 1981? That means Lily and James were 21 when they died. Seems pretty young. But oh well, science fiction/fantasy doesn't have to make sense. Once you hit page 450 (U.S. version) you can't put it down!! In Ron's words, this book is, "Bloody Brilliant!"

Posted by Hermet_Crab Jul 23rd 2007

I loved the book. I also loved the epilogue, and let me tell you why: The Epilogue was about Harry, just as the story was about Harry. It showed that he had moved on. It showed he had a family and was happy. We even saw how Hermione and Ron were still close with Harry (besides Ginny being Harry's husband and Ron's sister -- there was still the friendship of the Trio). We also learned that Neville was teaching at Hogwarts and that he was still a part of Harry's life. We know that Percy has some sort of job still at the Ministry. We know that Bill and Fleur had a kid, who was dating Teddy the son of Tonks and Lupin (who, as the characters made clear, didn't go to Hogwarts at that time, but was just there visiting Bill and Fleur's daughter). Through that we see that Harry still has a relationship through Teddy, and that would mean that Teddy would know the bravery of his parents. Through young Albus we see a bit of worry that Harry had at his first time going to Hogwarts, and we see him comfort his son -- we also see that Harry has a bit of wisdom that Dumbledore once possessed. And we can know, from how it ended, that everything in Harry's life was finally happy and together, nothing was going to take that away from him, by Jo ending Harry's story by "All was well." So, yeah, I don't see why anyone would find fault with the epilogue. The series was about Harry, and it ended revolving around Harry. Thanks, Jo! Loved the whole book! Oh, and I believe I read on here once that there weren't going to be everything answered. I remember that because there were a Mugglecast regarding it, and the Mugglecasters were wondering what Jo would leave out...or, if it wasn't them, then it was their neighbor, Pottercast from Leaky.

Posted by DragonDefonce Jul 23rd 2007

I thought it was fantastic. Of course, there were some inaccuracies and plot holes, but goddamn it, its a book and it was awesome. But she didn't keep all the promises...I'm pretty sure shes going to explain why she didn't in a while But epilogue was lacking some info and I still wanna know: what does everyone do for a living, who raised Teddy Lupin, who is Victoire, what happened to George, Bill, and Charlie, did Hermione ever find her parents, what happened to the Dursleys, where is Luna, who is the headmaster of Hogwarts, when did everyone get married, who is the minister of magic, etc. etc. Oh yeah, and I find it amusing that the epilogue is set on the year 2017

Posted by gryffindor_phoenix Jul 23rd 2007

The biggest disappointment in the book for me was not finding out more about the Veil and the Department of Mysteries. I loved the book, but I'm not sure if it's my favorite. I think I may still like OotP and PoA more, but I need to re-read it to be sure. I think I moved through this book too fast for a lot of stuff to sink in. I was devastated when Lupin and Tonks died, and I really want to know more about Teddy Lupin. Loved that Bellatrix died the same way she killed Sirius, and of course "Not my daughter you *****!" Loved a lot about the book, but some of it fely like fan fiction to me. I was expecting a much more detailed epilogue, and I can't figure out why it was 759 pages and not 784.

this book was amazing. jk rowling did it again. i love albus servous potter =) the epilogue answered what it had to. jk rowling didnt add stuff she felt was not important and i dont blame her. i cried for an hour when i though harry had to die. i almost stopped reading but i kept going on. BLOODY BRILLANT BOOK!
