ok, I REALLY loved this book..I'm extremely sad that it's over!! There were a couple of things that I wish Ms. Rowling had done differently..I wish she could have allowed Harry and Snape a chance to talk after Harry found out the truth about everything..I just felt really bad for the sad life that Snape lived. I would have been nice for him to see that Harry understand. I think she should have killed one of the other Weasley brothers..not Fred..Charlie or Bill would have been better..however, I had betted that Mr. Weasley would die (he actually was supposed too, so techinically I was right!) but I'm glad he was kept breathing..I though the last chapter was a bit odd..I wish it had told more about some of the other characters..and I assume Remus and Tonks son, Ted was grown by now and that's why he wasn't living with Harry (that is to whoever it was commenting about Harry being his Godfather)..I hated that it ended up to where ALL of James friends ended up dying..I wish Remus was spared..that way Harry could have had a link to his family! And last, but not least..why did the Dursley's have to live??? that would have been great to see them suffer for awhile..there was no sweet ending for how they treated Harry..at least let them get a curse or 2 slung their way!!

Fantastic! I can't wait to read the encyclopedia, I'm always craving more information on the wizarding world, but especially more about the characters and their futures. I hope she gets started soon!!

Thank God!!!! I can't live without Harry Potter!!! Hopefully the encylepedia explains everything she promised...becuase...well ...she promised lol. And i was pretty sure it was going to be Arthur Weasley, but it's interesting that she was going to kill him in OotP (i'm guessing the snake attack).

Lily's eyes were so important becuase.................. ..........Snape wanted to look in Harry's eyes before he died!! Why? Lol becuase he has Lily's eyes!!! He wanted to see Lily's eyes one more time!! *tear* so sad...

I cant wait fer tis new book to come out. it will certainly tie up some undesirable loose ends. i also hope she writes a book that talks about tha time b4 harry potter was born. it wuld b interesting to c how people like harrys father and mother lived b4 he was born. im still overwhelemed and sad by tha fact tat tha series is over also by tha fact tat fred and dobby died. This encyclopedia news has just given me a shred of hope and something to look forward to. I was devstated when Remus AND Tonks died leaving behind Ted. I always thought that the character who got a reprive would be like Hagrid. But I guess I'm happy with Mr.Weasley because Hagrid isn't worth replacing with the death of two parents.

I don't want to complain, I really like the idea of another Rowling Book, but...really, she could have just written one or two chapters more in Deathly Hallows. This way she could've told us what happens to everyone. And now we'll probably have to wait till eternity...

I'm really looking forward to learning a bit more about the characters. Deathly hallows really wasn't that satisfying when it came down to learning about the characters. I really want to learn more about Lupin's life, or Tonk's life. Even Luna or Neville's life. and What happened to the Dursleys?

It's also cool that she will be adding things that weren't added to the epilogue! I'm glad Mr. Weasley got a reprieve. I would have been sooooo sad if he died. this will sound absolutely terrible, but i kinda wish Mr. had died rather than *cough cough* that other Weasley boy *cough cough* I won't say names. Know what i mean???? Mr. Weasley had a longer life than........his son.........i guess......yeah, that's what i mean!!!! Anyone agree???????

now that i think this over... having mr weasley die would be sad, yes, of course, but think about and lupin and tonks who never got to know their child. how horrible!! mr. weasley's death would be a big blow to the family since fred had died but i cant stop feeling sorry for lupin and tonks. i would have loved it if neither of them died but then again, it was war, and terrible things happen in war. and by the way i am loving another book, fantastic, i cant think of anything better :]

pottersweasle: i agree with you 110%... fred was so young, not to mention, just down right funny. it was a shame to see him go. and yeah, mr weasley was getting old, he lived his life more to his fullest. im not saying i wouldnt care if mr. weasley died because i would be upset but not as torn apart as i was for fred. On that prediction thing you could do on here right before the book's release, I guessed that Arthur Weasley would die!! I really thought he would, so I'm not surprised at this revelation. But I also thought Draco Malfoy was a likely candidate. Does that mean Tonks and Lupin were the unexpected characters?

Wow, yeah I definitely thought that Draco got the reprieve. I also find it interesting that she was going to kill Arthur in book 5, although I definitely can't imagine him dying. Also, where in the article did she say lupin was the last minute character death?

Even though JK Rowling announced that she was bringing a new Harry Potter book out, i wasn't totally surprised, just a little shocked its going to be an ‘encyclopedia’. No disrespect to Mrs Rowling, but i think this is her way of admitting she could of wrote DH alot better than what she had done. Yes we all agree that its a great book! But look to the possibilities that were open? The end fight that could of (and in my opinion should of!) involved Snape! Why is it Harry gets through everything with luck?! Surely it would of been better to show him using some powerful magic to help to the cause. I think in the whole of the book he used three spells (not including the ones that were put around the tent) -Imperio, Expelliarmus and Crucio- Okay, i know i've just said he didn't use powerful magic, and that Imperio and Crucio are very powerful spells, but he uses them around 3 times in the whole of the book. And as Lupin says to Harry Expelliarmus is his "signature spell". Rights its 00:34, and im very tired, so i will find this and copy it and then continue:) So look out for me to come:)!!

it will be exciting to read some back ground info on some of the characters! can't wait for the encyclopedia to come out. i'm hoping it will tell what jobs everyone had after the 19 years had passed. i bet it'll be interesting to read about snape and lily's relationship too :]

Youngharrison - I'm sorry but I disagree with your opinion on JKR's upcoming Encyclopedia. I think this is going to be a useful way for her to get out a lot of background info that is interesting, yet doesn't fit nicely into the books. I'm very interested to see what she's going to write! And while I agree that he didn't use a lot of different spells in this book (protective charms discluded) I think it was because his task didn't involve a lot of fancy wandwork; it was mostly looking for Horcruxes and destroying them with the sword. We weren't at Hogwarts for the most part so there weren't any new spells that we were introduced to in class and such.

I'm so glad this isn't really the end! An encyclopedia is perfect, we learn what we didn't find out about the characters in the series, and Jo won't have to come up with another plot which might ruin it all. I can't believe Fred died! I'm glad Mr Weasley lived, but how will George cope without his twin who finishes every sentence! I guess Percy can joke with him, he's shown us he's capable of a laugh, even during war!
