The fact she was planning on killing Arthur doesn't really surprise me- I did expect at least one Weasley to die, even though I didn't want any of them too. I'd rather him have died then Fred though! Or Snape, but... Snape's death was no doubt planned from the beginning, I don't think she'd give him a reprieve :'( Plus, when I think about it, he was only alive really to protect Harry from Voldemort- he even said he wished he were dead when he learned Lily had died. So he fulfilled his mission in the end, and he died thinking of Lily. That's better than going on knowing he'd never see her again. His and Dumbledore's stories were seriously the only things in the book that made me cry. But the idea of an encyclopedia is exciting! And she seems like she has so many things she wants to say now that she doesn't have to watch her words carefully. I hope she has more information on Snape (hurr, i luv snape u guyz), especially his relationship with Lily, too, as well as all the little things we never learned but wanted to. I wonder what she'll go onto next, though, if it isn't something Potter related?

i am SOOOOO happy Mr. Weasley didn't die! That would have made me cry again, and i didn't need to cry anymore 'cause throughout the whole book i was crying basically lol. whenever any character died, i cried... a lot... probably more than a lot... oh well... i cant wait for the whole interview to air... i will watch it... is today monday? hmm... i should check...

Guys Lupin's death has obviously been planed from the beginning. She said that she has had the scene in the forest planned for years and Lupin was a big part of that. Obviously his death wasn't just an after thought. I look forward to the encyclopedia, I just hope she doesn't wait too too long. Take a year off and give us the 'pedia in 2009 or 10. Please?

If you don't want to pay for the info - then don't buy it. It really is the type of thing that will only sell to die-hard fans. There seems to be a lot of backstory that will go in - I'm sure she will make it worth your money. And seeing as it is (or she has said before it would be) for charity - its quite trashy of some people to say that she could just as easily post it on her website. She's obviously using our love of her story, combined with her will to do good, to raise funds to help out organizations that she loves.

yes, i was so hoping, i dunno what i would do if i didnt get one more dose of harry potter, i hope its like wat there textbooks in hp look like, id pay for this i read a comment up above that said she wouldn't haha, i think everyone else will, i am sort obessed though i have all the movies, two versions of each of the books, cept dh right now but as soon as adult hardcover comes out. I'm so happy that Jo is going to do an encyclopedia! I never expeced it to be Arthur, but I guess it makes sence. I mean he did get attacked by a snake, and we all thought he was going to die when that happend. Thank God she didn't kill him though. Yes, I expect it was Lupin and Tonks that were the unexpected deaths. I wish they wern't though! Ever sence Serius died Lupin was my faverot! The one who got a repreive, would have upset me so much if that person died. Encyclopedia--This is completely, totally, awesome I hope it will contain "Hogwarts, a History" as a chapter. Then after that, the only thing I could wish for would be her website in a book form, I'd love to send one to my sister--who does not have a computer, is a fan and would really appreciate JK's wit. --That would do it, UNLESS OF COURSE, JK got the urge to do a volume of short stories about Peeves, the ghosts, the room of requirement having a consciousness---what do they need now? how can I serve you?---life in the forest (I'm pretending that all those horrible spiders died)--maybe the centraurs and mermaids have a story--or the giant squid. I glad she is gonna write the encyclopedia . I most want to know how Hogwarts was rebuilt after the battle .Also who's headmaster and what are everyone's wizarding jobs,was kind of important with their O.W.L.'s and all.

I was so sickly depressed that it was ending. And now I'll still live in the hope that we'll get some more. I wish there was enough to release every 4 years or so for a while, enough to sustain us and enough for us to look forward too, but also not ever enough to completely satisfy us. Maybe JKR's as depressed as us. I've waited 8 year to finish this series I can't wait extra years for the side-details! what exactly is a reprieve? anyways, the epilogue really did suck. also, i thought someone was going to discover their magic? i was hoping it was aunt petunia cause all along, i thought she was trying to be nice to him, but her husband kept her from it. plus, when she left with the order people, it was as if she wanted to tell him something. i think dumbledore did fulfill her wishes for magic, but she kept it a secret.

yes!!!!! its not over yet! we still have something to look forward to. and NOW everyone can stop complaining about the epiloguue- i thought it was brilliant!

i also have one more question, who was the infant at the end, when he was tlaking to dumbledore? does anyone remember? and it sucks harry and hermione didnt end up together. i really did wish they were romancing. i love her lol. they would've made hotter babies.

Can't tell you how happy i am that Mr. Weasley didn't die but... Lupin and Tonks were the two characters she didn't mean to have die but did/had to anyway? What? NO way! What was the purpose of killing off those two? Now I'm really mad. But not too mad, the book was still good :-)

Jo will write more harry potter. she's not actually very good at writing. she just had a great story. her stuff will sell because it's her tho.

I doubt Lupin's death was unplanned. She knew he'd have to walk by Harry's side to Harry's 'death'. I don't know who died who hadn't orginially been planned. And though Tonks and Lupin seemed just thrown in, I think the chapter that follows does show that Lupin's, at least, was intended. Plus Harry was named Godfather, after all.
