okay yeah so i just read the third (finished today actually) an di read the 6th before DH came out, so i think ill just read DH again after i finish my summer reading books =[, and then ill justv start with number 1. OM it has been a LONG time since ive read SS or CoS. whew!!!! seriously. i mean ive read them at least three times each but not for many years!!!! when i reread the books i usually choose 5 or 6 (and now 7!!)... hmmm. should be good, although i dont really want to read GoF... one of my least favorites plus its long and i hate it when harry and ron fight!!!! okay ill stop now!!! night all!!!
I can't wait till the next movie comes im gettting so angry!!
There has been no new news for ages, it's getting annoying.
yeehh. its been 2 days without any news!! they could at least make some up:P baha. hopefully a new mugglecast will come out soon?
SOME NEW NEWS MUGGLENET!!!! These are starting to smell!!!!
Yes, where is all the news? Of course, leaky and HPANA are just as drab these days...I know it's not anyone's fault, but oh I wish there was something exciting! Actually, I have been to Veritaserum and that site actually has interesting news items up that none of the other sites have. Still love mugglenet and leaky, though!! =)
Whoa... That's amazing! Shows you how famous J.K. Rowling is!
I know dh is out, but that can't mean that they've decided to stop putting out news can it?
Ok guys, I think we've all gotten a little too used to our "movie and a book being released within ten days of each other" news madness. It cannot be like that all the time...there's always a lull after a book or movie comes out, and it's not because the staffers are slacking off, it's because THERE ISN'T NEWS RIGHT NOW. There's just a really big lull now because they came out at the same time. In a couple of weeks, when HBP production really gets underway, or when the book tour is in full swing, there'll be plenty of news. But for now, sit back, relax and reread DH.
News, news, news, news. I too crave for news; but has anyone thought of the possibility that it is just a slow new's week?
yayayayyaayayyyyyy! i love it!! nbice job JKR i love youuu. and harryy. =)
i don't know if anybody agrees with me, but favorite part of the seventh book was when Harry was pretending to be dead. i know that people think that thats really cruel, but i liked that harry lived even though he died. i was crying when he lived probably because i was so happy that he got a second chance. i think that a book can't be very good unless somebody or something dies. POA was very good though. i definetly think that people will keep reading harry potter, and all those books that were sold, theres going to be more...definetly :>
this is the longest i've gone without new news!!!
news pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
It's so sad that the news is so slow. With HP 7 done, it all goes downhill from here. Mugglenet will never be the same...=(
I knew these days would come, after all of the excitement and hype and happiness, there's just nothing left until next year when HBP movie comes out. It's gonna be a long way till we get to celebrate anything again. I don't think any of us were ever prepared for life without HP...It's deressing, innit? *sigh*
wildnose94- i agree that that part was really good.. i was so happy he didn't have to really die and then when everyone thought he was dead it was kind of funny, cuz you know, how often does that hapeen? and also when they were like HES ALIVE!!!!! that was really funny too
hey u guys who need news.. if u have nothing to do go back to 151-200 of this post and just read everything from then on. i guarantee some laughter or ur money back
OMG that was the greatest 6 chapters ever! in the end I LOVE THE PART WHEN VOLDY TRIES TO KILL MOLLY AND HARRY YELLS PROTEGO! AND COMES OUT FROM UNDER THE CLOAK! >GASP< and and and the part when Molly screams NOT MY DAUGHTER YOU B**** and goes for bellatrix! i cried tears of joy when that happened! MY FAVORITE PART!
yeh GO MRS WEASLEY! that was soo great! did belatrix die tho? i dont know if it said...
ya she died thats why Voldy freaked out because she was like the last one from his death eaters in the room with him
Way to go! I still cannot believe that it is over. I am actually still quite upset over it all, but I suppose that I should let it pass, hey? I mean...I did grow up with Harry and now he is gone. =[ I think that HP will be legend...at least in my family! Again...thanks Jo. Thanks for everything!
i am so happy for JK Rowling. She so deserves this. her books are so captivating and humorous. the 7th book was awesome.
Oh thank God the news is picking up again... I can breathe!
I sure wish I could read the book! I have to read large print, since I'm legally blind (I can just read the large print with magnifying glasses on) and they haven't published it yet. I thought all formats were coming out at the same time, but apparently Scholastic wouldn't give Thorndike Press a copy of the printed test to begin printing the large print version until AFTER their book was out on the stands. Here's a quote to that effect... "...Kara Kugelmeyer, an editor with The Thorndike Press, purchased 20 "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows" books at 25 percent discount. The Thorndike Press publishes large-print editions of the book for people who struggle with reading, or with their eyesight. Kugelmeyer explained that she uses the books as a guide, in order to increase the type size." http://morningsen tinel.mainetoday.com/news /local/4111198.html I just think it's a shame that there are thousands of Potter fans out here who still haven't had the opportunity to read the book yet, even though the rest of the world has. Large print versions are available all over the world, except for the US, and due to trade agreements, I can't even import a large print version nor can they sell to me here in the US. The release date has changed a couple of times on the Thorndike website, Amazon says it'll be one date, others say a different date, but nobody is saying for sure. Oh well, I'll just have to be patient until it comes out, but it's hard, you know? I've looked forward to it for so many years, now it's here and I still can't get the chance to read it.
has anyone realized there was like a total SS allusion in DH? when they are about to enter the whomping willow in DH, ron is like "if only crookshanks was here, he could freeze the tree like last time" and then Hermione is like "HAVE YOU GONE MAD? ARE YOU A WIZARD OR NOT?" just like in SS where they're being strangled like Devil's Snare and Harry says"so light a fire!" and Hermione says "yes, of course but there's no wood!" and then Ron is like" HAVE YOU GONE MAD? ARE YOU A WITCH OR NOT!". i loved it because it makes you think of the good ol' times during SS.
aharleyryder4u - Have you tried the audio tapes in the meantime? and tru2dumby713 - Yea I did notice that! I think Hermione said that to Ron on purpose.
DID ANYONE NOTICE THAT LILY EVANS COULD FLY?!
Nataliy, what on earth are you talking about?
lily evans could fly! she did in snape's memory off the swing and petunia was screaming for her to stop...check page 663 paragraph 4! but everyone was soo shocked that voldemort could fly! :D
Wow that's odd.... i don't think flying w/o a broom or flying animal is a good thing.... it sounds like dark magic to me.... weird...
i know thats why i was so surprised but i forgot and i just remembered today...i wonder why no one else has said anything about it because voldemort has dark powers and lily at the age of 10 mort likely didnt have those powers...
She probably wasn't really flying.... it was probably a fluke thing, like when harry ended up on the roof in book one, its not like he could apparate on purpose at age 10. same kinda deal
I don't have the actual quote, so I'm very sorry if I'm wrong, but I don't think JKR meant that she could fly. I think it was more like she landed more gracefully that she should've jumping from that height. But if the quote says differently, that's very interesting!
And how did Voldemort manage to fly? Is there some spell? Why didn't he just Apparate? I love how I still have billions more questions, even though DH is out!! :)
what was your favorite chapter?? mine was "the princes tale"! awww.. poor snape!
Mine too, definitely.
snape snape severus snape-dumbledore ron ron weeeeasly!!!! *potter puppet pals*
Wow congratulation Jk! and I'm honoured that I'm one of those millions reader of Harry's series!!! DH is just fantastic - this's my favourite by far, and I can hardly believe that's ended, while I've spent almost all my years of teen-age waiting a new one to come out. But still, many many many thanks to Jk and Harry, for accompanying me for such a long times, let me discover the long-lost pleasure of reading, and I'll never ever forget this!
wow!!!! It was a great series..... best books in the world! I read DH in just 10 hours, (stopping 4 snacks obviously ^_^)
