Order of the Phoenix DVD information
Various details concerning the upcoming Order of the Phoenix DVD release are slowly starting to emerge.The Movie Informer has received what looks to be the front and back cover the 2-disc Special Edition DVD. Check it out right here! The back lists several bonus features, including:
- Additional Scenes
- Conversations with the Cast
- Reflections on the Fifth Film
- The Noble House of Black
- A New Order
- Ministry Mysteries
- Flight of the Phoenix
- Theatrical Trailers
- EA Game Demo
While this picture of the front and back cover do look pretty promising, this is still not confirmed by Warner Brothers. We're working on confirming all of the aforementioned details.
Last month at the US premiere of the film, Emerson and I asked director David Yates how many deleted scenes we could expect on DVD. His answer falls in line with an update at the British Board of Film Classification's website, which lists 10 minutes worth of deleted and extended scenes to be included on the DVD. Thanks to Leaky for this.
As for a release date, rumors are currently circulating that we can expect to see it in mid-November (many sites report November 12th in the UK). We'll be sure to update you as soon as we hear more!

First! Schweet! I want OOTP on DVD so bad. I only have SS, CoS, and PoA on DVD. No GoF, though. Too much slapstick and no Ton-Tongue Toffee. :( Ah, well, I loved PoA and OOTP best, so I can't wait! SQUEEEEE!!!! Has anybody seen the Simpsons Movie yet? Bart bares it all, Dan-in-Equus style (not on horseback, though, but on a skateboard! Bart's "doodle", as he calls it, is teeny!)

Boy, they're going to be SO dead if Lily is not at addicional scenes. and I don't know, the book is so long that I was kind of expecting more than 10 minutes extras scenes. But I'm not gonna lie. I am excited about it, as usual.

The cover's a fake. Proof: 1) There is no trademark symbol next to the title on the front like there LEGALLY has to be. 2) The photoshop artist messed up with the desaturation near Hermione's hair (notice how the end of her hair is desaturated?). 3) The back cover shows both the MPAA rating as well as the Canadian Home Video rating (english and french), which would never happen. Overall, it was a cleverly designed fake, but a fake none the less.

I hope some of the deleted scenes have book 7 forshadowing, like adding THE FULL Snape's worst memory.

No memory scene in the list of deleted scenes. Also i was hoping they would put the scene with draco talking to the slytherins after the battle. I also hate they didn't put more of the battle in there too. They better be saving up for some extended versions down the line!!
My college has a program where they show recently-released-on-DVD movies every Friday night, and on November 2 they're showing OotP, so I was thinking it was coming out mid to late September. I don't know what they're going to do if it doesn't come out until mid November!

Well, I checked my PoA DVD and it does look a lot like it. But they do put the MPAA rating and the Canadian rating both on the back, so that part isn't wrong. The two covers look similar, though. I don't know why someone would put so much work into making a fake DVD cover. I hope it isn't a fake. Though I was a bit disappointed with this movie, Iam still excited for it to come out.
