COOL PIXS!!!!
JKR looks great! She's not what you expect when you think of writers. You think stooped shoulders with dark circles under their eyes. Yay JKR for looking as pretty as ever! FIRST FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE!!! YAY!!!
cool !
I hope there'll be a mugglenet visitor there....winkwinknudgenud ge.....
Cool. I wish I could go to the reading.
Ok, well, I was first but all I put was a first to post thing and I guess someone deleted it...but I know I was here first so that's all that matters! Is anyone on?
I really wish I could go and hear her read the book.
CALIFORNIA----they may say the Fire Department did it, BUT--I think a lot of JK magic was was a big part of it......You know, how it seldom rains on a Long standing parada or event? Well, the 5 Golden State freeway goes from Mexico to Canada--and is a major truck route...had a bad collision and fire on Friday--they did not expect it to be open again til at least Tuesday (tomorrow)---but at 1 am today Monday, it opened...it was designated a disaster area....I had thought that it might impact JK attendance--and Newt Gingbrich and others ate in Pasadena today speaking....SO I THINK THAT MAYBE GOD HAD MADE THE WAY CLEAR FOR JKROWLINGS EVENT. This type of thing has happened too much in my life, and others (witness those high schools kids who took over a bus and saved everyone--she said she did not know what to do but something told her WHAT TO DO.
Nothing more threatening here in LA this morning than a heavy fog. Waiting for my co-worker to return with our students from Rowling's visit. Checking all the news channels for interesting info, but they all have the same canned stuff. We dressed our teacher as Hagrid and he lis convincing being inclined to look that way anyhow. Would love to get a nod from J. K. over the costume as it may be as close as I'll ever get.
Very cool pictures. :)

i am bored..stalling...i have a bloody quadratic applications test and i ruddy hate parabolas...and all the bloody different forms of writing those darn quadratics. pre calculus sucks..escpecially when ur teacher is a nut ... i need some OOTP for comfort...accio ootp!
Ginnypotter, I hate pre-calc too. I'm working on it right now. :( I hate graphs in general. They suck @ss.

cool pics, plus, I made top 50.............. Snape, Snape, Severus Snape, Snape, Snape, Severus Snape...Dumbledore!!!!... ....anyone see that? It rocks!
coolio pic! yes i have seen 'the mysterious ticking noise'. very stupid. rather amusing though.
I really wish i could go. It would be amazing, but i spose all of the questions and answers will be online within a few hours anyway.
Quiscalus: siriusly it does suck. working at mcdonalds sounds more fun than studying for precalc. its not that bad its just my teacher is a mathcrazy lunatic who derives the quadratic equation from ax+by=c. she is nuts and applies quadratics to a problem that has to do with how much a watermelon costs. and imaginary numbers are a freaking waste. they are imaginary for gods sake..who gives a darn??!
yah. i wish i could be there to hear the answers in person! but mugglenet might post the story (hint hint)
i am bored i am bored. yes i am yes i am. life is so fry without hp....how will i continue...surely in a couple years there will be no updates at all on mugglenet unless it turns into an emma-dan-rupe tabloid site *shudders*....the future looks grimm...
Those kids are SO LUCKY!
darn quadratic equations. they don't give me as much trouble as proofs used to though!
i_am_hermione, I am doing the same thing in math!! but anyway I WANT TO GO SO FLIPPING BAD. Wow. Instead I am here in New Hampshire watching the Red Sox lose. Greattt.
PRROOFS!!! ahh! flashbacks....*gets petrified, falls to the floor* she makes us do coordinate proofs...she is crazy i tell u !! crazy!! she makes us use a graphing calculator occasionally and im so retarded i cant even figure out how to use it!!! i dunno how the hell i got into honors...its amazing....but im like the most clueless kid inclass...they are all freaking geniuses!!
come on peeps!! i need math support..im dying here!!! i nearly vomit everytime i pick my pencil up. this is child abuse i say! id rather do laps in gym than this...and i have asthma and nearly die every gym period so thats saying something. *sings with desperation*i hate math i hate math if u ask me what i hate i say i hate mmaatthhh.. :(
i guess im the only one who just cant seem to study...
gahhh. i wanna goooooooooo! i don't have math hw
The kids were so excited when they came back. They really felt that they had a personal experience with Ms. Rowling, even though each contact was brief. Several left their signed books with me for safekeeping for the rest of the schoolday. So trusting! Naw, I didn't do nuthin' to their books. Just took a little lookie at the signature. And smooched it. Just kidding, of course. If they took their own book along they could get that signed and then get an unsigned copy of Deathly Hallows besides, or get that book signed. She did not sign things for adults. However, our own Hagrid was in line with our kids and I hear she looked up from signing, looked down and then up again at him and told him that he had a nice costume. Kids in the audience were yelling "I love you Hagrid," or "Hagrid, look over here!" taking pictures of him and I heard that students from another school thought that it might actually be Robbie Coltrane. I must say, this pleases me as much as if I'd gotten to go along. We only had about 76 kids write essays from a school with 3100! What the hay? So just over half got to go. I'm sad for those who wanted to go and didn't get to and I'm really fine with staying back with them. Many of our kids wore an HP T-shirt or purchased objet such as a time turner, or shoes that they painted with a nice H on one toe and P on the other, that done with white-out, favorite art tool of the high school student. We had a witch in a black robe with the classic hat trimmed in white boa. But the students were not as formally dressed as I expected them to be. Ah, well, Los Angeles. One of the most touching remarks in our essays was that one student anticipated the arrival of an owl on her 11th birthday, which never arrived. The owl that is. I had no idea, being sort of old, yet no less a fan. What a grand day. I'm as full of myself as when I touched the hem of Scarlett O'hara's BBQ dress on display in a local major art museum. I just reached over a...
ginnypotter719, I am sorry i didn't respond to your pleas!! I started playing Sims :) I hope you got your math done!!
