I've heard that the play is really good, and i live in NYC!! but i dont think my parents will be willing to let me see it :( i reeeally hope they agree! i want to see him act in person, i've seen him once before during a premier but seeing him actually act in person will be great!

Well, I was hoping this wouldn't happen. Though I live in the US, I saw Equus on the West End last April, though I didn't travel to England specifically to see the play. When I heard the rumour that it was coming to Broadway, I selfishly didn't want it to. Now I realize that other peole should get the opportunity to see the show as well if they couldn't travel overseas. It really was an incredible play, even if Daniel hadn't gotten naked. I went with my parents, who had both seen the original version on Broadway, & they were totally cool about it. Both Richard Griffiths & Daniel were unbelievably good, I forgot that I was even watching the star of Harry Potter. I hope that everyone who gets the opportunity goes to see this show, & not just to see Dan, but for the entire experience. =]

Oh, & for people who are talking about age limits, I was 15 at the time. Definitely the youngest person who was there. If you're that age or younger, I'd probably recommend waiting to see it unless you know you can handle the mature content.

I'm so glad that Equus came to the US! I know I can't see it, but that's only because I can't get to NY; I asked my mom of I could see it when it was in the UK and she said I could, if I coule get there... but, I was 13 at the time (I'm now almost 15)! All of those people talking about being to young, or there being an age limit, trust me, there isn't, and, you're only to young if you couldn't take the content. I would love to see the play for two reasons. 1) I think it would be awesome to see Dan act live and in something other than Harry Potter (I didn't get a chance to see December Boys), and 2) I can take phycology and violence and what ever else 'young people' are worried about (and what ever older people are worried that younger people couldn't take). I hopefully am not offending anyone when I say, I really wish people would stop with the 'it's a play for older, mature people' when, as a 14 year old, know I could see it, and understand it, with ease. I do understand that other people my age couldn't take it all in and put it together, but that's not all of us. Anyway, congrates to those out there that can see it, I wish I could!
