Potter most re-read novels in UK
Potter most re-read novels in UK According to BBC News, a survey conducted found that the Harry Potter novels are the most re-read books in the United Kingdom.

J.K. Rowling's series beat out JRR Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings and Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, which came in second and third place, respectively.

The survey also found that almost a fifth of readers read their favorite book more than five times and roughly 77% of UK readers re-read books overall.

Hey Emi what's up, i am aggravated with that interview with the one who plays cho on veritaserum's website. They can't have cho in there, more then my Bonnie. It's just not right cause cho isn't in HBP much, but Bonnie's character is, i hope WB doesn't mess up, and i hope Bonnie doesn't get shortchanged with only 2 lines. Bonnie is the best she deserves to be in it alot,so please WB listen to me and put my favourite actress in the whole world the lovely and beautiful talented Bonnie Wright in there. I had to get that off my chest sorry. It is cool that it is the most re-read books in England, i have read them tons of times. My favourite HP books would have to be HBP,then COS, and the Deathly Hallows. I only read DH only about 5 times already, but the other one's i have read tons more. Yeah that was giving me a headache earlier seeing the mugglenet is dead thing, i don't even know what that was about.

Posted by tiassa Nov 9th 2007

Yeah I love them! their third one is about to come out right? Bonnie has good taste! Bye emmabonniefan17

Posted by tiassa Nov 9th 2007

Im alone here aint I?

Posted by UhsFethMalorn Nov 9th 2007

I do think there's something in the theory that people have been rereading their Harry Potters in preparation for the next one...and Lord of the Rings isn't really in the news anymore, is it, so there aren't many new revelations to read the book again in order to pick up. I've probably read Lord of the Rings many more times than Harry Potter, among other favourite books, but I have read the HP books loads of times as well...

Posted by AcidPops33 Nov 9th 2007

Wow that's sooo awesome!!!!!!!!!! Like really, that's a major accomplishment right there. AND we beat out LotR AND Pride and Prejudice!!!! That's the power of Potter baby! :D Well, I know that I, for certain, have reread the HP books WAY more than 5 times!!!!!!

Posted by Katherine_The_Crowned Nov 9th 2007

Yes, my two favorite book series at the very top!

Posted by harrypickle0 Nov 9th 2007

WHAT ABOUT USA??????????? +_+

Posted by godricsquid Nov 9th 2007

lord of the rongs is better than harry potter books...hmmmphhhh

Posted by emmabonniefan17 Nov 10th 2007

Thanks tiassa for saying Bonnie has good taste, cause she does Bonnie knows her stuff. Bonnie Wright is the best she rocks my socks off,and i am a 100% devoted fan to Bonnie Wright. Bonnie Wright is and always will be my favourite actress. I was so happy i was watching the Stranded movie with her last night, i got a copy of it it was so cool to see her before HP. I am so happy Bonnie is so awesome and talented and always will be:).

I have never read Lord of the Rongs. Or Lird of the Rings. I've read Lord of the Rings, though...

Posted by emmabonniefan17 Nov 10th 2007

That's funny i haven't read lord of the rongs lird of the rings either. I have read lord of the rings books, but they seemed a little to slow at some points. My favourite of LOTR series would be the Hobbit and two towers. I read tons of books so i have tons of favourite series. I also like the Eragon series which is called inheritance,His Dark Materials i like,Artemis Fowl,I like Roald Dahl alot,Little House On The Prairie,The Mists Of Avalon series,Anne Of Green Gables,Mark Twain,Charles Dickens,Edgar Allan Poe,Wizard Of Oz series and many more. So those are more of my favourite book series other than HP. I am also into art,so i love litearture and art most of all. My two favourite artist are Renoir and Degas.

Members of the group NLOI will be banned if they do not stop harassing the other people of the MN community. My inbox has been flooded with complaints from people (most were not cheesecakians either) who are tired of your nonsence 'protection of mugglenet.' This is your one warning.

Posted by bongahead Nov 10th 2007

I am a big fan of the HP books but I've never reread the books THAT much, that would be so boring I'd practically memorize them! Not to say that the books are boring; they're awesome but when I read them once or twice that's enough for me for all the details to stick in, because I read slowly on purpose to savour every word. That's much funner for me than speed-reading the books five times. I actually took almost 2 weeks to read DH, but it was a great experience! As for the number of rereads per book, I've done: POA - 3 times ; PS/SS , OOTP , HBP - twice ; COS , GOF , DH - once. I'll probably have to wait several years before I can reread DH again (till I've forgotten most of it) and enjoy it in nearly the same way.

Posted by fanaticallyobsessed Nov 11th 2007

I'm sorry. :$

Posted by rockbox122 Nov 12th 2007

I've read 1-5 at least 5 times each. I've only read HBP twice, and I'm working my way through DH for a second time.
