Rowling updates Rubbish Bin
Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has updated her official site to address two new rumors in her Rubbish Bin. The first entry concerned the recent lawsuit against an Indian community for building a replica of Hogwarts castle. Rowling noted that she herself did not bring the lawsuit and that her name always gets attached to such things for legal reasons. Jo also attempted to clear up the situation, saying:
"The defendants were not religious charities, and theirs was not a religious celebration. On the contrary, it was a large-scale, commercial, sponsored event involving corporations that included a major Indian high street bank. The event was, however, set up while a Hindu festival was going on."
Jo in her second entry poked fun at a recent tabloid article which stated she does pilates, yoga, jogs, has botox injections and has cut out saturated fats, by joking she clearly has been "Rowling back the years."

I so love this woman! She is so hilarious, even in the face of blatant slander! That is what makes Jo so real for me! Of course, I’m exactly the same age as Jo, being born only about 46 days before her. But I’ve never looked at Jo and thought, now there’s a woman that gets some botox! Please!!! There is just nothing at all fake about Jo! Not that getting botox is wrong in anyway! Jo just doesn’t strike me as someone that is obsessed with her looks. I love how she’s managed to kept that girl next door persona and look about her. And as for as if she diets or does exercises what (real) fan really wants to know that much detail about someone’s personal life. If she were an actress or super model I could see people wanting to know that kind of information. But we are talking about J K Rowling, not a Hollywood starlet. The media sometimes just barks up the wrong tree and doesn’t even realize it!
lol well im sort of his favorite students theirs only three people who read the book inmy class and i get asked questions about it although i ahve read the books at least 9 milllion times my sister and i could go on for hours about it but modt of the time i enjoy it

hey my fingers are bright red and im cold acid ive read dh about four times and when i got it at the midnight sales i finished it 6:00 the nezt day i hate PA its so cold ive got three dogs and u have to walk them before 10:00 so im gone for like 20mins. at a time

Good for you, Jo! I love that she keeps her chin up. No worries about whatever tabloid story is slinkining about her. Not just her characters are good role models; she has class. Go Jo!

Hahaha, the rubbish bin always cracks me up! I like the different levels, like Pure Garbage, Starting to Smell, Toxic, etc. I spend so much time on her site, it's not even funny. It's just so well designed, and really pretty. *geek overload* Lol :) Has anyone else noticed that the news has been picking up a lot? Like, right after DH, it was blahhhhh no news, and now-- HBP is starting filming, so it's like BAM! NEWS! Yeahhhhh...
I want to say something regarding the issue with the Indian Lawsuit as I live in the city where this castle was built though I am not in any way related to the people who created that castle. I am a huge fan of Harry Potter and I really respect jkr for creating this wonderful world.But I am sorry to say that the castle was indeed built as a part of a religious celebration. During that festival temorary structures are built which are of various forms-temples,palaces,shi ps etc.
