Posted by Snivella Nov 27th 2007

2nd!! hey, does the guy who is reading know everyone who actually read DH knows the tale of the three brothers???? lol anyway, i WANT this book. maybe i should try my luck in the lottery...hm... ive taken a decision: my children will never hear about Cinderella or Snow-white, but only about Beedle the Bart. and that's it - they better not complain!

Posted by Clark Nov 27th 2007

I would LOVE to read or even hold the Tales. It sounds really awesome!!!

Posted by Quiscalus Nov 27th 2007

I want to read the stories SOOO badlyyyy!!!! Pre-book 7, I used to wonder what wizarding fairy-tales are like and when we got a taste of it in DH, I wanted more.

Posted by HPfanx14 Nov 27th 2007

man, i want one of those books. thats awesome.

Posted by Ginnylostharrytome Nov 27th 2007

i dont know if this is a silly question or not but is it going to be published for everyone?? because if its not...THATS UNFAIR!! *cough* yea...

Posted by Travis Nov 27th 2007

The HP-Lexicon should be able to publish and sell their book and then use the proceeds to buy The Tales of Beedle the Bard and the put the stories online. Was anyone else really really annoyed by those newscasters and their silly fake "ooohs!"? One of them actually licked her glove when she was having trouble turning the page. What's the point of the gloves if you're going to get your saliva on the pages anyways?! I think that she's the same one who said that reading any more would spoil the book. They treated it like everyone who would be interested in the book is 7 years old.

Posted by insomnia1505 Nov 27th 2007

We heard something new. Death was given personification with a hooded figure! In the book it says, "And Death spoke to them."

Posted by insomnia1505 Nov 27th 2007

I agree with what Travis said about the GMA hosts. They weren't very respectful toward the series. They should've had a guest like, say, Emerson or Melissa.

Posted by justmione Nov 27th 2007

i want the book. i hope it gets printed for the masses

Posted by martinaluvsron Nov 27th 2007

how i would completely love to get my hands on beedle of the bard i can always dream!!!

Posted by anvilsized Nov 27th 2007

I WANT TO READ BABBITY RABBITY AND HER CACKILING STUMP!! *cries* Gosh those news people are so fricking retarded!!!! "We dont want to give it away, so we'll stop reading here." The whole story is already in Deathly Hallows!!! God theyre so stupid. And those "Ooooooh"s made the whole thing sound like it was a baby story. I hate news people that dont know what theyre talking about.

Posted by Scary69 Nov 27th 2007

I think she would have done better at raising the money if she has sold the book world wide rather then auction it off. I sometimes wonder what people are really thinking when they go off and auction a book such like this to just the highest bidder.

Posted by kryntal Nov 27th 2007

If only she would release a photocopy and sell it foe charity. The hand written copies will not lose their value! For the sake of all of Potterkind, please, dear J.K. Rowling of lore, release the Tales of Beetle the Bard to your fervent followers!!

Posted by The_Obsesser Nov 27th 2007

I love how the only part they're allowed to read was already in Deathly Hallows. And they read it with such fake dramaticism...

Posted by adriandoher Nov 27th 2007

i wish i knew those guys so that they could tell what it said in the book! but in a way, im glad the book is being so protected and kept secret, that way it will be bought for a lot of money! i bet the charity is so happy right now! =)

Posted by hermyown7777 Nov 27th 2007

That is really nice of Jo to donate the money for charity. I really love the look of the book and her illistrations. Imagine writing all that 7 times! And I completely agree, those hosts were getting on my nerves!

Posted by 13hplover13 Nov 27th 2007

very nice...but i wish they read a story we hadnt already read in the book...suppose that was the idea DID EMERSON GET A COPY??!! they were being so patronising-THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE!!! ah well, its all to a good cause but i hope she publishes them for us mere mortals who cant fork out 100k

Posted by Daaaawlish Nov 27th 2007

I got the catalog and it is well worth buying!!!

Posted by member_of_SPEW Nov 27th 2007

ah those newscasters were so dumb! "oooooooh .... ooooooh ..." they need to meet some HP fans and let's see them ooooh after that! ----- AAAAH JKR NEEDS TO RELEASE IT! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE *with a cheesecake on top*

Posted by bobfredc3q Nov 27th 2007

WOW i want that book so much! But honestly, that video was a waste of three minutes. It's not like i learned anything NEW from that. All they did was read a very small part of something that you would already know if u just read DH. I wish they would publish the book. It sounds really interesting.

Posted by carpediem1991 Nov 27th 2007

I totally thought we were going to hear a new story from the book. I was very disappointed when the guy started reading "The Tale of Three Brothers". Why shouldn't they read something else to get people who can afford it more interested, and, us mortals... well, more pleased, at least.

"A special commemorative catalogue for this unique item is being produced and is available to purchase from Sotheby's. The 48 page catalogue contains a message from the author about the creative inception of 'The Tales of Beedle the Bard' plus images from the manuscript itself. Profits from the sale of the catalogue will be donated to The Children's Voice. " But no actual story. :( I really want to read it.

Harry learned quickly not to feel too sorry for the gnomes. He decided just to drop the first one he caught over the hedge, but the gnome, sensing weakness, sank its razor-sharp teeth into Harry's finger and he had a job shaking it off — until — "Wow, Harry — that must've been fifty feet..."
