Dan discusses upcoming film 'Journey'
Empire magazine recently caught up with actor Daniel Radcliffe to discuss his projected role in Journey, the story of Dan Eldon, a photo-journalist who was stoned to death by a mob in Mogadishu in 1993."There's a lot of stuff flying around about this at the moment," he said. "I am absolutely attached to it and it would be amazing to play that part. But people are making assumptions about when it's going to happen and it won't happen – if indeed it does happen – for a while yet. But basically...Eldon grew up in Africa and discovered a gift and a passion for photography. Eventually he got too caught up in something that lead to his death".

So basically he doesn't know for sure if he has the part or not??? Maybe I'm reading it wrong. Well I hope they do it, and if they do, that he gets the part.

wow... well as it wouldn't happen for a while, I guess that this just gives us more to look forward to in the upcoming years, instead of just the last 2 movies. I hope he DOES get the part .. If he hasn't already ..
I will probally see it, it is good that he is doing things other than Potter but he will get branded for life as being Harry.
I love photography, so this story sounds really great. However, Dan will always just be Harry in my eyes.

I"m so excited! It would be very cool if he does this. But will he have time, given that he is filming the last two Harry Potter films and I think he's coming to Broadway for Equus as well. By the way, I haven't seen December Doys yet, but I've been hearing about it for forever! Is it out on DVD yet?

As much as it sounds interesting and I am glad for him, it might come out only afer DH so seeing it will mean that...what would come would come and Ill have to meet it when it does

That sounds like a sad movie. But I've always thought it would be fun to play someone who died. Maybe that's just my sick mind, though.
Wait? Is this the photographer that shot the picture of the starving child with the vulture waiting for her to die, then just walked away without helping the girl? If it is, Dan has plenty reason to be attached to it!
It really seems like it's going to be a pretty sad movie..but that's Ok!It's quite interesting to see Dan playing someone who's supposed to die..We (fortunately) understood that we won't see him die as Harry Potter so I think it'll be challenging and very interesting to see him do that..well just thinking :)

I'm really glad that all three of the trio actors are really branching out, not just looking for any kind of work, but the kind of work that interests them and they feel that they can do justice to. Journey sounds intense, but I think Dan can pull it off nicely =]

wow, i just got done reading what he said to empire*gives two thumbs up*. but i was a little upset when they said how the potter series was approaching to an end, even tho it is true. i just dont see why he wudnt want to be recognized as the "boy who lived". i mean wudnt that be the hugest honor, to be a symbol of harry potter, of course other than being jk rowling herself. although its understandable that he wud wont to go on to making more movies, but to act as tho its a shame to only be recognized from the harry potter films. oh well, cant wait to see if this too will be an insperational movie also. #1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)
