JKR still writing in cafes
JKR still writing in cafes The Telegraph has a short piece about Jo Rowling continuing to write in cafes:

"I will continue writing for children because that's what I enjoy," reveals Jo, who greatly misses the child wizard. "It's left me with the biggest emptiness in my life." She will, however, leave behind the magical world of Hogwarts. "I believe that it's good for me and good for my readers that I bring myself to work on something different," she declares.

In a search for inspiration, Jo discloses that she has returned to the Edinburgh cafes where she completed her first novel while unemployed and living on benefits: "I am very good at finding a suitable cafe. I blend into the crowd and, of course, I don't sit in the middle of the bar staring all around me. In 90 per cent of cases, it's the cafe's staff who allow me to work without being bothered."

Awesome! I can't wait to read more! I really miss the excitement and suspense of waiting for a new HP book- and the thrill of reading it for the first time. Still, I don't think the HP series could have ended in a better place. Good luck, JKR, we're all cheering for you:)

Yay! So glad she is starting to write something else! It's weird that she can get peace enough to write in a cafe, but then again, if I ever become an author, I always pictured myself writng in the corner of a coffee shop drinking a mocha or a hot chocolate. But anyway, I hope whatever she writes is as awsome as Harry Potter and I can't wait 'till it comes out!

No offense to Jo, but NOTHING she writes will live up to HP. Okay, MAYBE, but i doubt it.

It kinda sucks that she's keeping away from Hogwarts, but variety is good!! When I write stories sometimes I just get so tired of writing them that I'll stop for months and write something else, then stop that and go to another one, and on and on and on and on till I get back to the original one. But that's just me lol. I can't wait to read her new book, it's going to be awesome-possum!! I can't believe she still writes in cafes. But... everyone has their inspiration point. We love you Jk! Keep writing :)

jo is the best

I don't see anyone with her public profile "blending" in a crowd of people. One can only wonder why she isn't able to write in the quiet confines of her own studio. Strange to say the least. I think JKR likes the notoriety and the adulation. Sounds a lot like writers block to me. Maybe that is why she has attempted to reinvent the Harry Potter characters after the final book.

AHH it's being so terribly rubbed in our faces in every interview that she isn't going to go back to Harry! I find that just utterly depressing.

Quotes
They make a fuss about Hogsmeade, but I assure you, Harry, it's not all it's cracked up to be. All right, the sweetshop's rather good, and Zonko's Joke Shop is frankly dangerous, and yes, the Shrieking Shack's always worth a visit, but really, Harry, apart from that you're not missing anything.
