Poor Rupert Grint. He never seems to get recognized, does he? And Nick Hooper may have written passable music for the fifth movie, but he definitely does not deserve an award for it.

This aggravates me too Freddie. Rupert Grint NEEDS some loving. I mean, has he EVER gotten an award for his work in the Potters? No and its disappointing because he is such a good soul with freaking amazing talent and he doesn't ever get recognised for his work where as Emma does---and I really don't think she has talent, she's just a pretty face. I wanna give Rupert a hug!

I don't know about you folks but I'm rooting for Keira Knightley because at least she can act....unlike some people. I mean is it just me or is Watson just unprofessional in acting what with her eyebrows and that crying, overdramatic voice she has (not to mention just likes to hog the attention when it comes to both the films and award ceremonies). I'm not saying these things because I'm jealous (which I am not--aspiring screenwriter not actress/model) but its true! I'm sure she's a good person but I just don't think acting is her thing. I actually do think Dan deserves the nomination...but that's it really. Let us hope Rupert gets more loving next award ceremony.

hey vampirekisses, I think Emma's a talented actress, but I agree with you about her eyebrows! She punctuates all her lines by wiggling them! However, I think if the screenwriters gave her a bigger part, like Hermione is supposed to have, she would be able to actually act and not just communicate through facial expressions. Same for Rupert Grint, he's talented, but they took his part away and gave him really cheesy lines like "Who are you and what have you done with Hermione Granger,"; if his part was as JKR intended, he would look better.

Actually I would have to disagree with you on Hermione's role: it's HUGE, its actually kind of too big. Or maybe it is just the right size but what makes it so big is Ron's minute role. It should be RON who is the very best friend of Harry--not Hermione. Emma's role basically steals all of Ron's and her own...making her and Harry the most talkative characters.

I just checked my TV guide on the TV and it says its supernatural on at 9 and i can't find what channel the awards will be on. I'm slightly freaking out now. I love award shows. I agree with you all over the Rupert thing, i think he's the best actor out of the trio. When they were 11/12 the others weren't that great and he was. Now they've all gotten great and he's not being recognised. Anyone think it's kinda ironic how that's the way Ron feels sometimes during the books??

I think his character will be more dominant in the next two, seeing as in HBP he's on the quidditch team and goes out with Lavander, and like you said, in DH he'll get noticed for the scene where he leaves, and the scene where he saves Harry. And of course the kiss with Hermione.

The only reason that Rupe isn't recognized as much is because he is really shy and doesn't stand out much in the films. I live in the United States so haven't seen him in Driving Lessons but I just know that Emma and Dan have more lines and stuff so they get recognized more. It really makes me mad that the Ron in the books isn't the Ron in the movies. I have nothing againest Rupe though, HE IS HOT!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, rupert is one of the best actors in the set and is hardly recognized... in my opinion he deserves many prizes and nominations... in my opinion emma is more famous because she makes herself standout more, hence, rupert is much more reserved... but i beleive they are both just as good... i understand dan's great recognation because he is the protagonist and is the character with most scenes... his probabilities of winning are greater... well, keeping my fingers crossed!... i hope HP5 wins!... oh!... and thanks emma!... i do lvoe the fact that she keeps us fans updated! = D

Rupert, Emma, and Daniel are evidently the main characters of the movie. And yet only Emma and Daniel are being recognized. Perhaps it's the fact the Rupert doesn't have that big of a role, I mean he does but it comes across as a very small role in the movies. Rupert is an amazing actor, but he just doesn't put himself out there like the other two. I'm not saying that's a bad thing...I'm just saying that he needs to add a little more BAM in his character. I'll have to disagree with those who say Emma is a bad actress. You may hate the fact that she wiggles her brows but at least you notice her...she is trying. Be patient with her and maybe she'll blow you way in the other two films....WE LOVE YOU RUPERT.

Good you better not being saying that about Emma,or Hermione. Emma plays Hermione perfectly,and no one else can. I am glad you're not saying Emma is anorexic,because she is not. I think everyone who portrays characters in the movie versions of Harry Potter are talented. They might not always look like how i pictured the character,but nonetheless they are talented. I mean when i first saw Philospher's/Sorcerer's Stone,i was amazed at how much Dan,Emma,and Rupert looked like Harry,Hermione,and Ron. I was also amazed at how well Richard Harris looked like the Dumbledore,i had in my mind,and imagination when reading the books when they first came out. I then went to go see Chamber Of Secrets,and thought Emma looked really more like Hermione in there than the PS/SS.

The first thing I thought when I read this post was, "What about Rupert?!" Ron is my favorite character, and, therefore, of course, I also really like Rupert. But, just like in the books, "Ron" (or in this case Rupert) is always overshadowed by "Harry" (or Dan). I really don't think it's fair. (sigh) But, oh, well! It's an honor for Potter to be represented at the Empire Awards this year.
